Gootecks returns to the basics of Street Fighter V with Cross Counter Training’s guide to throws and shimmies

If you go online much with Street Fighter V, you will see an army of newcomers who have major difficulties with throws. You’ll also find some players that ride solely on throws, and will get frustrated when they run up against players who know how to tech them.

Gootecks covers both of these scenarios in his Cross Counter Training series. He teaches the importance of throws — and how to execute them, or map them to one button within Street Fighter V‘s menu — and also goes over how to tech throws, and how to use shimmies to mix up people who will mash techs out of your block strings.

LI Joe shares some Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite DLC character impressions and matches with BornFree

With Capcom bringing Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite to the New York Comic Con, it should come as no surprise that Long Island’s favorite son, Joe “LI Joe” Ciaramelli, was at the event to try the characters out.

Also at the event was Mark “BornFree” Sheridan, who caught up with LI Joe. In the video below, BornFree shares some of LI Joe’s matches against Capcom’s Mike D, while also getting his impressions on the DLC characters — who he’s using, what he thinks will be effective with them, and more.
