It appears that Daybreak Game Company is preparing at least two new games are in development, one an “online RPG” and the other “an online FPS/TPS game”. Job descriptions provide a few hints: The games are both multiplatform. One is based on “a popular old-class IP” while the other is “a hugely popular global IP”. Indications are that an announcement for one of the two will be coming sometime in early 2018.

January 16th cannot come fast enough for Sakura fans. With her being the first DLC character for Season 3 of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, people are eager to see exactly what she will be able to do in the game’s system.
While her trailer gave us glimpses into what she is capable of, VesperArcade took the time to break down what we are seeing piece by piece. With speculations into what her moves are — combined with the information given from Capcom Unity — we are able to see how combo-heavy and juggle-heavy she is. We also see how expansive her V-Skill is with triple follow-up, including her dive kick — which was a strong move in Capcom vs. SNK 2.

Injustice 2 Free Trial gives players a taste of all the game has to offer
It’s time to get up and Atom.
NetherRealm Studios has announced a free trial for Injustice 2 that will run December 14-18 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Throughout the duration of the trial, players will have access to the first three chapters of the phenomenal story mode, all multiplayer modes — including online matches, and the entire base roster (minus Braniac). Players will also be able to check out select DLC fighters within the Multiverse mode that is active during the trial period. On top of the free trial, those who enjoy the title are welcomed to pick it up at a 50% discount “at participating retailers.”
Injustice 2 is an incredible title, and there ‘s no better chance to check it out and see if its the fighter for you. Do yourself a favor and experience the story mode, it’s one of the best in a fighter to date.
Injustice 2 also received a new DLC character for it’s Ultimate Edition owners as well. Atom is a unique addition to the roster that fights by adapting his size to the situation. Check out some day-one impressions here, and the free trial trailer below!

Super Street Fighter Carnival 2017 continues with Buriki One, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown tournaments
“Super Street Fighter Carnival 2017” marches on! SSFC2017 is the currently-ongoing Japanese tournament series at Mikado Arcade for a wide variety of classic (and sometimes, obscure) arcade titles. If you missed the first few tournaments from SSFC2017, there’s a lot to catch up on!
Today’s tournaments may both be 3D fighters, but they couldn’t be further apart in terms of mechanics: Sega’s Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, and SNK’s Buriki One.
If the Virtua Fighter series helped define the 3D fighting genre standards, then Buriki One is a complete rejection of them. Buttons are used for movement, the joystick is used to execute attacks, and ring outs simply return you back to the center of the ring. Also, yes, that’s Art of Fighting‘s Ryo Sakazaki you see guest starring in the roster!

Tekken 7 version 1.10 patch — a.k.a. the “input lag fix” is now live on PlayStation 4
It has been teased (and begged for) for an eternity: a fix for Tekken 7‘s input lag on PlayStation 4 (an apparent side-effect of the Unreal Engine) has finally arrived on consoles.

Those hoping for any other changes in version 1.10 will have to do some sleuthing: the Update History only reveals the planned “game performance optimization,” and Tekken’s official channels have not — at the time of this writing — revealed any patch notes.
This has easily been one of most-requested changes for the PS4 console version, and it has arrived a day earlier then it was previously announced. Merry early Christmas!
