It’s rare for signings to be announced in the midst of a large tournament, but this is what has recently happened. While Evo Japan is in full swing, Red Bull announced another signing to their athlete program.
Japanese Tekken star Tanukana has just been signed onto Red Bull’s ever-growing roster. She now joins recent signing Big Bird of Street Fighter V fame, alongside established players on the roster such as Bonchan, Luffy, Daigo Umehara and Snake Eyez. Her signing makes her the first Japanese woman to join the Red Bull athlete program specifically for esports, as well as the first Tekken player on the roster.
Proud to announce that Tanukana is now part of the Red Bull athlete team! In esports, she is the first ever Japanese female player to become part of the team! https://t.co/ifiwmmJjn6
