Tekken pro Tanukana signed to Red Bull as an athlete

It’s rare for signings to be announced in the midst of a large tournament, but this is what has recently happened. While Evo Japan is in full swing, Red Bull announced another signing to their athlete program.

Japanese Tekken star Tanukana has just been signed onto Red Bull’s ever-growing roster. She now joins recent signing Big Bird of Street Fighter V fame, alongside established players on the roster such as Bonchan, Luffy, Daigo Umehara and Snake Eyez. Her signing makes her the first Japanese woman to join the Red Bull athlete program specifically for esports, as well as the first Tekken player on the roster.

Here’s what Dragon Ball FighterZ’s PC version looks like on max settings

Unsure if the PC port of Dragon Ball FighterZ will do justice to the Kamehameha? Well, judge for yourself! PC MasterRace Latinoamérica has shared a number of screenshots from the PC version with us, showing off what the game looks like with max settings and Resolution Scale at 200%:

 

How does it hold up to other major fighting games on Steam? You can see the same tests preformed on PCMR’s site for Tekken 7, The King of Fighters XIV, and Street Fighter V. Twin Galaxies interviews Punisher after his Kumite in Tennesse win in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite

One of the bigger shocks that occurred at Kumite in Tennessee was New York player’s Gilbert “Punisher” Matos winning Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Given the field was stacked — requiring him even to double-jeopardy SonicFox to get the title — Punisher rose to the occasion, and beat him in a Rocket mirror which when he spoke to Twin Galaxies, he called “ugly.”

In the interview, he talks about how he has taken advantage of his usage of the Hit Box as a weapon of choice, as well as how he was able to compose himself after losing a 50 game set to Teemo the day before he flew out to Tennessee. He also had encouraging words for Marvel fans who want to keep the scene alive. Check out the full interview here.

Master Swords at the ready! 2GG Hyrule Saga comes to Thunder Studios from June 23rd-24th

Polish your Mirror Shield, restring your Hero’s Bow and sharpen your Master Sword, as 2GGaming are holding a Zelda-themed Saga this summer. Titled 2GG Hyrule Saga, this tournament will see the finest warriors from across the world fighting for control of the Triforce. Alongside the usual singles and doubles tournaments for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, 2GG will be holding a special Hyrule Warriors tournament — I imagine it will be some type of Time Attack event.

As with most 2GG Sagas, expect character specialists to be flown in from all corners of the Earth to champion their piece of Triforce. Link and Toon Link players will represent the Triforce of Courage, Sheik and Zelda mains will be fighting for the Triforce of Wisdom and Ganondorf players will be for the Triforce of Power. Being an ex-Ganon main myself, I hope players like Pon, Opana, GanonTheBeast and the king of all Ganon players, Gungnir, will be able to attend this Saga.

Early bird registration is open until February 26th, so head on over to smash.gg if you’re definitely attending this royal rumble. Rather than the usual venue at Santa Ana’s Esports Arena, 2GG Hyrule Saga will take place at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California.
