Check out the high-execution, position-specific Tekken 7 combos of Usman Hitman

One of the reasons Tekken has managed to maintain a dedicated following long after many of its contemporaries fell down was its rich juggle possibilities. This is true as well of Tekken 7, as evidenced by Usman Hitman‘s latest combo video:

In addition to exploring typical combo-video fodder like stage-specific juggles and high-execution riskiness, there’s some genuinely unique conversions here you may not have seen before. How often are you going to see a full conversion from Bryan’s back throw into a wall break, for example?

Fighter101’s persuasive video essay invites new school players into old school titles

In all aspects of life, it’s important to look at the past to understand where we are going. Capcom has given us an invitation to do just that with the upcoming release of the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which showcases the vast majority of its famous older titles.

Fighter101 understands that a lot of new players feel daunted by the learning curve of the older titles, but implores them to reward themselves with the feelings that come from mastering something in older titles such as Super Street Fighter II Turbo and the Street Fighter Alpha series!

Shred your opponent’s lifebar with these Shadow Mewtwo combos for Pokkén Tournament DX

Shadow Mewtwo may have been drastically nerfed after his very first appearance in Pokkén Tournament, but he’s still a threat worth fearing in the latest DX title update.

This high-option, incredibly mobile, footsie-dominating powerhouse combines the best burst in the game with a toolset ready to take on any situation. While balanced out by having to use his health as a resource, it’s not too much of an issue thanks to his ability to guarantee health recovery after a Phase Shift.

The physical release of Skullgirls 2nd Encore for PS Vita is almost ready to ship

The saga of the physical releases of Skullgirls 2nd Encore by Limited Run Games has been a long and arduous one. Plagued by multiple delays, fans saw the light at the end of the tunnel when the PlayStation 4 version started shipping last October. Now, it seems that the PlayStation Vita version will finally see the light of day as well.

On an update on the official Skullgirls site, Lab Zero has stated that the physical release for PlayStation Vita has finally been approved by Sony, and will now move on to manufacturing. Apparently, the reason for the long approval process was due to some back-and-forth negotiations between Lab Zero and Sony for waivers for some minor bugs — bugs that players would never notice, but that Sony wanted fixed anyway. In the cases where waivers weren’t granted, the bugs had to be fixed.

As for the all important question of when the physical version for Vita will finally be released, all that they’re waiting for is for Sony to approve the game’s manual. Once that’s done, manufacturing takes about two to three weeks.

With this in mind, Lab Zero estimates that copies should ship out in about three weeks. However, to be sure, they will post another update once they have confirmation that the physical copies are shipping out.
