PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds – A MILLION Accounts Banned in January Alone According to BattlEye
BattlEye is the anti-cheat program behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Its Twitter account was updated yesterday to inform the community that over a MILLION accounts were banned in January alone. It came with a caveat that, despite the bans, “things continue to escalate”, though the assumption is that the company’s efforts will scale alongside the escalation.
Overwatch – First Female Player Reportedly On Tap to Join Overwatch League
PCGameN is reporting that the first female Overwatch player is ready to join the professional ranks in the Overwatch League. “Geguri” is a world class Zarya player and has sent out a Twitter clip indicating she’s going to be joining a “foreign team” and that she’d received many offers from League owners. She did not say which team she is joining, though the speculation is that it will be the New York Excelsior.

Thanks to a news tip from Etamin616, we’ve learned of a new game currently in development for fans of collecting and caring for pets. PixPet is the “spiritual successor” to an earlier game called DragonAdopters that closed in 2013. The original developer is back and working on PixPet. Fan are invited to preregister to keep tabs on the development and earn an Early Adopter title when the game launches. In addition, community members can make suggestions on what they’d like to see implemented.
Mortal Online – With Latest Elementalism Update, You Can Literally Control the Weather
The Mortal Online site has been updated with a notice that two of three phases to update the Elementalism school of magic have been completed. The first two updates allow Elementalists to literally control the weather. Temperature can be raised and lowered and players have the ability to conjure rain or snow. The second phase added reagents to the mix to create a variety of weather effects based on having rain or snow present To show off some of the spells, the team released a new trailer.
