Sharpen your sword with Mewtater’s Aegislash Combo Video for Pokkén Tournament DX

Do you like high level execution? Do you have anything resembling interest in Pokkén Tournament DX? If those statements are true for you, you’ll see in Mewtater‘s latest combo video that Aegislash was almost certainly meant for you.

Aegislash is built around what is likely a reference to Namco’s SoulCalibur series: just like the Greek characters in SC, Aegislash has just-frame inputs on a number of its moves that give it additional damage. Combining these precise inputs with Aegislash’s many solid okizeme setups (and a Guard Impact like Parry… hmm!) and Pokkén’s latest character shreds life-bars quickly and stylishly.

Shanks Luffy shows off the creative potential of Ibuki’s V-Trigger II

While Ibuki’s bomb in V-Trigger I was very strong in Street Fighter V‘s second season. However, many top players are adopting her second V-Trigger in Season 3, which sees her throw out a giant shuriken.

While the jury has been out on whether or not it is the most viable option, Shanks Luffy has compiled a quick video, showing off the combo potential of Ibuki’s Fuma Shuriken. Included in the video are various tournament-viable resets, along with a few fun tricks you probably won’t see in a tournament set. These include pulling five target combos in one combo, eleven kunais in one combo, and a seventy hit combo that includes a Critical Art.

FGC Philosophy Podcast talks about dealing with high-stress situations with SFxT Evo 2017 Champ Psychoblue

Even if you don’t play Street Fighter x Tekken, you have still likely encountered Aaron ‘PsychoBlue’ Pinsky in some form. In addition to winning Street Fighter x Tekken side event in 2017, he was also the surprisingly chatty counterpoint to SnakeEyez in the Red Bull documentary ‘Mind Games’.

If his openness to talk about his own game’s weaknesses struck you in his fight with SnakeEyez, this podcast will give you some interesting context: the reason why there was no sweat on PsychoBlue’s brow is because he’s a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. This makes him a perfect fit for the FGC Philosophy podcast, and in particular the subject of today’s talk: handling high-stress situations in competitive environments.

Learn Steve Fox in Tekken 7 with That Blasted Salami’s complete character breakdown

It can be easy to exaggerate the complexity of a character in a 3D fighting game due to the size of their move-lists. Once you understand how an average character functions in an engine though, it can make learning new characters fairly simple. But when a character defies the standard logic shared among many in the cast, it can make learning and playing that character much more difficult.

That’s Steve in Tekken 7. He’s easily punch parried, lacking in standard launchers, bad punishment options — if you said this about any other character in T7, you’d likely write them off immediately. But those facts ignore his true strengths — his complex stances, his pokes, and his exceptional counter-hit tools. Learning Steve is like playing a different game then everyone else playing Tekken, and that’s why the Feature Film length of That Blasted Salami‘s latest guide is vital for anyone ready to dive into this character. Good luck, pugilists.
