Team UYU.gg signs Tekken World Tour champion, Qudans, to their roster

Competitive fighting game team UYU.gg continues to expand their player roster across multiple titles such as Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, and others; recently, UYU.gg announced on their Twitter page that they have now signed current Tekken World Tour champion, Qudans, to their roster. With this huge announcement, Qudans joins the likes of other notable Tekken 7 players such P. Ling, KawaiiFaceMiles, and Fergus as team representatives.

Team UYU.gg also mention that Qudans will be attending tournament stops for this year’s Tekken World Tour in Asia, North America, and Europe. Looks like will be seeing a lot more of the Devil Jin specialist in action for the rest of 2018!

EverQuest – Daybreak Pulling Out the Stops This Friday for EQ’s 19th Birthday

Daybreak will be pulling out all the stops in celebration of EverQuest’s 19th birthday. On Friday, March 16th, players can log in to take part in special anniversary missions including “Lost but Not Forgotten”, “A Formal Dinner Party”, “Pieces is Pieces”, and “Fish Eyes in the Dark”. There is also a new mount available as well as content from anniversaries past, new Marketplace offerings, a special live stream planned for March 16th and more.

FrameWhisperer explains the hatred for Tekken’s Eddy Gordo, and how to approach fighting him

There are few characters in the fighting game genre as polarizing as Tekken’s Eddy Gordo. His toolkit is comprised of several evasive stances and long strings; these moves are designed to knowledge check foes — and most of his foes, as it turns out, don’t have the knowledge necessary to beat him.

FrameWhisperer Tekken‘s latest video isn’t so much a tutorial as it is a study about what makes a character “typical” in the world of Tekken 7. Even though Eddy’s long been a source of complaints, as FrameWhisperer points out, players have difficulty articulating why they have trouble with the capoeira user. With a little work and effort, you can learn to understand why you’re losing to Eddy, and what you can do about it.

Socal_IronGod and Yohosie sign with Coalition Gaming

Last week, it was announced that both Socal_IronGod and Yohosie have signed with Coalition Gaming as members of their fighting game division. Formerly known as HARA, the organization looked to rebrand into Coalition Gaming last November “in pursuit of a more professional and serious look.” The team already includes the likes of GuamoKun, Rev0lver, Rewind, EMPR Phoenix, and Jessr.

Though at this time they are primarily known now as Dragon Ball FighterZ players, SoCal_IronGod (who will be representing the team at Anime Ascension later this month) is also known for stellar play in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, placing 17 at SCR in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, using the team of Thor and Rocket Raccoon. He’s also coming off the momentum of a 1st place finish at Wednesday Night Fights in DBFZ with the trio of Android 18, Cell, and Super Saiyan Vegeta.

Before recently making her name with Gotenks, Yohosie first rose to prominence in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax with her Kanji Tatsumi, placing 3rd at Final Round 19 and 5th at CEO 2015, and also placed 9th in the June 2017 NorCal Dogfight for Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2. Yohosie will be debuting for the team at NorCal Regionals. You can see the announcement tweets and comments from the new team members below.

Today’s ArcLive episode features Arc System Works CEO Minoru Kidooka, and answers fan questions

The latest episode from Arc System Works’ regular stream, ArcLive, is set to air later today. The shows typically feature guests — sometimes, reveals — and some gaming. This time, the episode will be graced by Minoru Kidooka, the CEO of Arc System Works.

Kidooka will be interviewed on air by James Chen. The company president might also get a chance to show his gaming prowess. Though there are no expected BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle reveals (that’s set for Friday, on the Japanese ASW stream), there will be an opportunity for fans to ask questions. Your questions can be submitted by tweeting with the hashtag #ArcLive.
