Ensure your power is at maximum with these pre-release Dragon Ball FighterZ Broly breakdowns

With the first two of eight upcoming DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ releasing this Wednesday, popular fighting game content creators Maximilian, PNDK&M, as well as Hellpockets, RhymeStyle, and AfroSenju XL have all published various breakdowns to get players acquainted with the power of the Legendary Super Saiyan before he officially steps into the ring.

Both Maximilian and Ketchup note that Broly’s most notable trait is the armor on several of his medium and heavy normals, similar to his fellow “big body” grappler, Android 16. However, unlike the powerbombing, Goku-killing cyborg, his armor has a bit of startup and isn’t available on frame 1, meaning he won’t be able to toss them out as liberally in neutral.

Perhaps his most unique attack is the Powered Shell, a barrier that will allow him to block all incoming projectiles, and zone foes with ki blasts and projectile assists at his leisure.

Broly’s two supers also have some unique properties, with the level 1 Eraser Cannon functioning similarly to his Eraser Blow, however if Broly Ultimate Z Changes into a partner’s super, Eraser Cannon will hit after his ally’s attack, possibly setting up unique combo opportunities for them. His level 3, Gigantic Meteor, has two different versions depending on if it’s preformed with R1/L+M — which will fire the giant projectile seen in his trailer — while R2/H+S will release a small, slower-moving projectile that could set up nasty post-splat mix-ups.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with Bardock and Broly — along with 6 additional DLC characters — being available as part of the FighterZ Pass (as well as being included in the FighterZ and Ultimate Editions).

– Input Club Wants to Redefine the Gaming Keyboard

In the world of mechanical keyboards, Input Club are something like indie celebrities. Working with prolific keyboard and keycap designer Matt3o, they released the Whitefox to wide acclaim. Later, with the K-Type, released a flashy RGB keyboard we at MMORPG adored, complete with their own Hako switches. Now, they’re trying their hand at a full-fledged gaming keyboard and believe us, this isn’t something you’ll want to miss.

Square Enix reveals their release schedule for DLC characters in Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Hot on the heels of the reveal of the game’s first DLC character Vayne, Square Enix has now released a schedule for when the remaining Dissidia Final Fantasy NT DLC characters will arrive.

The schedule, which you can see in the tweet below, shows that we can expect to see characters arrive on a regular basis — every two months. This means that the next DLC character (this time a male from the earlier games in the series) is set to arrive in June, with the final planned DLC character coming in February of next year.

Applications for Evo 2018 volunteer tournament judges are now open

While many people come to Evo to either compete or just watch some great fighting game action, there are many people who also come looking to help out in the community. For any players who would like to do the latter, here’s some news you might want to check out: applications for volunteer tournament judges for Evo 2018 are now open. Players interested in helping out with brackets at Evo can head on over to the official application page.

As stated above, being a tournament judge at Evo is a volunteer position. However — despite this, judges will still get some great perks. This includes food for on both Friday and Saturday (as long as you are judging a tournament that day) as well as an official Evo tournament judge T-shirt.

The only requirements are a familiarity with running a double-elimination bracket, on top of passion for competitive gaming. Judges are also expected to take care of their own transportation and lodging at Evo.

SRK & Frabisaur present 5-MINUTE FOCUS: Using assists in Dragon Ball FighterZ, featuring Tatsunical!

Hello warriors! Frabisaur here again with a new 5-Minute Focus video, and this time I’m joined by DBFZ powerhouse Tatsunical! I sat down with Tatsu to glean his wisdom on some of the fundamental aspects of Dragon Ball FighterZ. With regular top 3 finishes at Wednesday Night Fights, and being ranked 3rd on the PS4 leaderboards, Tatsunical brought some seriously strong information for this video!

In the first episode, I asked Tatsu how players can get more out of their assists. He related assists to their place in the games’ neutral and left me — and hopefully all of you — with a fresh perspective on how to get more out of your off-screen companions. The most revelatory idea to me was how you can use your assists to do the heavy lifting for you. By having them take the charge on offense or defense, you can let your assist be your “attack” for you while keeping your point character safe. Check out the video below for this, and more!
