Bungie’s Sandbox Design Lead Josh Hamrick is the ‘star’ of the latest Destiny 2 developer commentary video. In this edition, Hamrick discusses today’s “Go Fast Update”. This update is being provided based on player feedback saying that competitive multiplayer has felt slow and unexciting. All aspects have been examined, including player movement, how supers come back and taking a look at weapon balance.
Shroud of the Avatar – Official Launch Day Arrives – Here’s When You Can Get Started
Today is a big day for Shroud of the Avatar as the game is “finally ready to leave Early Access” and sail into the full release waters. Players can start playing SotA at 8:30 am Pacific / 11:30 am Eastern. Players can look forward to improvements in Performance, three Companions are added, several Scenes have been rebuilt, the story and quests have been polished, players can make multiple characters, heraldry has been added and combat has been polished and balanced.
Flyff Gold – Turning Point Part 2 Launches in Europe & North America
Webzen is reporting that Flyff has been updated to bring the Turning Point Part 2 content expansion online. Players will find the “newly besieged” Mars Mine dungeon that is packed with new armor, weapons and gems tailored for the high-level player. In addition, the level cap has been increased to 170, new Guild War rewards have been added and the new Fusion system is available.
Overwatch – ‘Avoid as Teammate’ Feature Coming in a Future Patch
Blizzard is testing a new Overwatch feature on the PTR. Called “Avoid as Teammate”, players will be able to choose this option from a drop down menu in their Career Profile. According to developers, this “option gives players the ability to craft their online gameplay experience. Up to two players can be selected with this feature. If you use the “Avoid as Teammate option on a player, the matchmaker will no longer place you on a team with the avoided player for one week”.
Sea of Thieves – Gold Death Tax to be Removed, Griefing Under Discussion & a New Game Client Today
Just prior to the launch of Sea of Thieves, Rare announced that players would need to pay a “death tax” to the Captain of the Ferry of the Damned in order to resurrect. At the time, it was said that a “small gold fee” would need to be paid. However, after player outcry, Rare has reversed the decision and will not bring the death tax into the game.
