Chris G, Kazunoko, ApologyMan and Leffen are the final invited players to the DBFZ Summit of Power

More fighters assemble at the Summit of Power!

After revealing the first four of eight invited Z Warriors to the Summit of Power taking place in June, Beyond The Summit has revealed the second half of their specially-invited lineup of fighters. Joining the previously announced Echo Fox|Sonic Fox, CO|GO1 and Dogura, and PG|Nakkiel will be:

  • EG|NYChrisG
  • GGP|Kazunoko
  • ApologyMan
  • TSM|Leffen

In addition, the Qualifiers at both Next Level Battle Circuit and Wednesday Night Fights have concluded, declaring that HookGangGod — who scored a 2nd place finish behind the gatekeeping Sonic Fox — and Reynald — debuting his Bardock in place of his signature Goku Black — will be competing as the strongest warriors from the East and West Coasts. That brings us up to 10 of the 16 fighters now assembled. There will also be a Last Chance Qualifier at Combo Breaker in St. Charles, Illinois May 25-27. The Summit of Power takes place June 8-10th in Los Angeles, California, with a $10,000 prize pool up for grabs.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will be publicly available to play at GameStop stores next week

Arc System Works certainly has been ramping the marketing for their upcoming title, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. The title has been available for the public to play at various events, such as Anime Ascension and New York’s Next Level Arcade. It turns out that next week, many more players — at least in the United States — will have an opportunity to try out the game: at GameStop stores.

The company tweeted that BBTAG will be available at kiosk stands at GameStop stores sometime next week. Though there aren’t specific details yet, it’s possible that every store in the national chain will have demos available. The newest build includes most of the character cast at this point, except for RWBY‘s Yang and one more character pack. The English dub is also officially confirmed to be part of the game.

This will be a good opportunity to check out the game before thinking about the BBTAG Collector’s Edition, which will include all the DLC and several goodies.

EVE Online – Into the Abyss Expansion Revealed & Set to Launch in May 2018

CCP Games has announced the next expansion for EVE Online. Called Into the Abyss, players can look for the new content in May 2018. According to developers, “Into the Abyss adds exciting exploration and survival gameplay in the form of Abyssal Deadspace, a brand new hostile environment filled with hazardous environmental effects and mysterious adversaries, the Triglavian Collective”.

Capcom lists additional UI/system changes left out of the patch notes for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

You might have thought the latest patch for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition was already fairly expansive, what with its numerous character tweaks and system changes. Well, that’s not all that got changed in 3.5: Capcom revealed last night that even their previously-released patch notes didn’t cover everything:

The majority of the “hidden” changes are UI and functionality changes. Here’s the full list below from the updated change log:

  • Implemented “New Releases” in the Information menu, for viewing new items. (Note: Press the megaphone icon on the top left of the menu screen when “New Releases” is highlighted.)
  • You can now restrict entry into Battle Lounges based on connection status. Connection Restrictions has also been added to the Lounge Settings when searching for a lounge.
  • Added “Next 50” skip functionality when inviting friends to the Battle Lounge.
  • If a disconnect happens during the match, the notification will be left in the message log, and you will be able to view the Fighters Profile of your opponent.
  • A sound effect will play at the rematch screen for Ranked and Casual Matches.
  • The button guide will be displayed upon spectating a match in the Battle Lounge.
  • Enabled a voice sample playback when selecting your favorite character.
  • Search and creation settings for Battle Lounge will be saved.
