Romneto breaks down the synergy in Josh360’s mid-tier Marvel vs. Capcom 2 team of Jill, Ruby Heart, and Guile

When people think of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, one of the first things that comes to mind is how unbalanced the game is, and how competitive play is focused solely on the top tiers. Despite this however, there are some mid tier teams in the game that do show some good synergy as well, allowing top players to do well with them.

In this new video from MvC2 legend Brett “Romneto” Harbach, we get the see the synergy driving one such mid tier team: Josh360’s mid-tier team of Jill, Ruby Heart, and Guile.

Now Josh360 is more known for his deadly Iron Man-based team that can take out opponents with one touch. That said, he occasionally does play with mid tier characters, bringing out the aforementioned Jill, Ruby Heart, and Guile team. The video below covers not only combos, but a number of tricks and tactics as well that the team can pull off in certain situations. This includes some unique things — such as using Jill’s zombies for unblockable set-ups against rolling opponents, and more.

Learn how Falke “harmonizes” Psycho Power in her Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Character Introduction video

With Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition‘s third Season 3 DLC character –Neo Shadaloo’s Falke– set to swoop down onto the roster next Tuesday, Capcom UK Community and Esports Manager Matt “The Street Writer” Edwards has released the customary Character Introduction video for the upcoming fighter.

After briefly covering the newcomer’s lore, Edwards describes the intricacies of her Variable System, noting that, due to her specials lacking traditional motion inputs like her Neo Shadaloo counterpart Ed, she is “tailor-made for single-button hit confirms with her far-reaching normals and ease of access.”

After showcasing some fancy combos utilizing both of her V-Triggers, a Critical Art confirm and multiple Stuns on Ed, Edwards closes with the following statement on why players might be interested in picking up the “Guardian Hawk.”

“With her long pokes, projectile pressure and two-button anti-air, Falke has a strong repertoire of mid-range tools and can easily convert stray hits into fully-stocked combos.” Catch the full video below.

Falke will be available next Tuesday, April 24th, for either 100,000 Fight Money or $5.99. She can also be acquired as part of the Season 3 Character Pass — which also includes Sakura, Blanka, and the yet-to-be-released Cody, G, and Sagat — for $29.99.

TOPANGA League players share their Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Season 3.5 tier lists

Top Japanese players from the TOPANGA League have revealed their latest Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition today! This is the finalized roster BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will have at Evolution 2018

The time for Crossing Fate approaches. Although we have been used to steady character reveals from Arc System Works, we have a finalized cast that we’re going to deal with for the next few months. The company confirmed on Twitter that the following 31-member cast will be the official roster for Evolution 2018, and offered a handy graphic.

Of course, BlazBlue‘s cast is sitting at the top, with 13 members. Persona and Under Night characters evened out at seven each. Lastly, we have the completed team RWBY at four, after having just seen the first gameplay preview of Yang Xiao Long. Notably, this isn’t the full cast. There are still three more character packs coming in the form of DLC, which will round out the cast to 40. It sounds like we might not hear about them until Evo 2018 itself.

The game will launch on June 5th in the US, May 29th in Japan, and in Europe at a later date. Pre-ordering the game nets a reward in the form of the first character pack being available for free (Kanji, Orie, Platinum the Trinity). There’s also a BBTAG Collector’s Edition available at a higher price that will include all the DLC characters, though it seems like some of those will arrive later than expected.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is one of the main stage games for Evolution 2018.
