U.K.’s FGC event “WinnerStaysOn Open” to be held on May 13th in London

Want to see the U.K.’s top fighting game talent go at it? Then free your schedule for this Sunday, May the 13th.

The Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London, the largest public esports studio in the UK, is hosting the ‘WinnerStaysOn’ Open, the largest fighting game community event in the UK. From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. local time, you can check out top tier tournament play in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, and Dragon Ball FighterZ.

There’s also going to be several renowned fighting game community players and casters in attendance, including King Jae, F-Word, Ketchup, Mustard, Damascus, Tyrant, and more.

World of Speed – Ranked Races Tweaked, Optimization Improved

As the World of Speed team races towards open beta, it has been hard at work to prepare the client for deployment. This week a number of adjustments have been made to the back end to improve connectivity and to shut down memory leaks for better performance. On the gameplay side, the team has made some adjustments to Ranked Races based on community feedback.

Lord of the Rings Online – Breeland Given High-Level Polish, Work on Ered Luin Begins

Matt Elliott has posted a new blog on the Lord of the Rings Online forum to inform readers that he and his team have started working on a variety of polish passes over some of the game’s oldest areas. Breeland has been updated with “newer, better looking textures”, new waterways and polished water materials alongside more detailed assets being used for trees and “a few small surprises…to keep things interesting”.
