Everyone has a fighting chance
Final Fantasy XIV is a big game. Maps are separated by loading zones, so Eorzea doesn’t feel quite as open as, say, Azeroth, but there’s a lot to do. There are 60 dungeons and nearly 50 trials, and, thanks to the roulette system, these all get run almost every day.
Keen Games and 505 Games have announced that a brand new Portal Knights demo has been released for Nintendo Switch. The demo version of the game is now available in the eShop and provides players with a peek at the Adventurer Update that features new “characters, quests, items and overall improvements to the game”.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition has only been out for a few months, but the community has been voicing strong opinions about various characters’ Season 3 changes; in light of this, Capcom released a mid-season balance patch which sought to address some of the most common complaints about the game’s engine and the characters in question. This patch also includes various small balance changes to every character. Because of this, I’ve prepared a series of videos on ShoryukenTube showing off the most important gameplay adjustments on a per-character basis.
Continuing from my last three posts, this week covers the second season of DLC: Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat, and Zeku, as well as the season 3 characters who changed in the 3.5 patch: Sakura and Blanka. Many of these characters saw very little revision in the season 3 patch — probably because they were still very new — and thus this is their first serious rebalance. Abigail was notably significantly buffed in the Season 3 changes, and has now seen significant adjustments; calls for his debuffs probably justified the 3.5 patch in the first place.

The latest World of Speed developer diary has been published that informs the community that the team has been hard at work on a pair of patches that will prepare the game for open beta. One patch is focused primarily on client optimization while the other will bring the player Profile feature on board.
The Next Day team has sent word that its survival MMO is scheduled for release on May 21st and to prepare, a huge new update has launched. Players will find new locations added including the Dead Marshes that is said to be packed with quests (to be added in a future update), weapons, armor, new enemies and bosses. In addition, the new “exoskeleton armor” allows players to turn “into a true war machine” with increased firepower and defense rate.
