Mikado Arcade’s Street Fighter Carnival 11 continues with Tekken Tag Tournament, Street Fighter EX2+

Street Fighter Carnival 11 is Mikado Arcade’s currently-ongoing, month-long, multi-game tournament series for a wide variety of classic (and sometimes, obscure) arcade titles. This series is well under way, so start from the beginning if you want to catch up!

Today we have two new tournament VODs for you — first, there’s the original Tekken Tag Tournament:

TTT1 was a fascinating beast for a lot of reasons, not the least of which because it’s a Tekken game with health tiers. And if you think movement is important now, think about how important it was for a game where there’s only infinite stages to choose from!

Following this is Street Fighter EX2+. Now, I’m not going to make any claims, because Mikado Arcade loves this game and regularly features the EX series in its events. But in less than two weeks, the spiritual successor to the EX series, Fighting EX Layer, is dropping on consoles. Just thought I’d throw that out there…

HZRDS|Rob TV shares his keys to success with FGC Philosophy

HZRDS|Rob TV has been one of the fastest-improving players in the Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, and he proved it recently with a huge win over Street Fighter legend Itabashi Zangief at Combo Breaker 2018.

The road to that victory wasn’t easy, and as you’ll hear in his latest interview with the FGC Philosophy, it wasn’t without considerable cost. “I have a belief that I can outwork them…” Rob admits before going on to explain his outlook and training-focused mindset, and how his biggest weapon isn’t what he has, but what he lacks: complacency.
