Tekken 7 can be a daunting game to get into competitively. There are so many things that an aspiring competitor needs to learn: things like movement, or frame data.

To help beginning Tekken 7 players out, Core-A Gaming has teamed up with top player UYU|YuYu to put out a “beginners guide” video.

The video below does its best to cover all that a beginner needs to know, starting right from the basics, explaining the game’s buttons and the differences between high, mid, and low attacks.  From there, it moves on to other things, such as the all important topic of movement, as well as combos, punishes, the rage system, and more.

We’re approaching the latest release in the saga of the SoulCalibur games, and it will be the sixth chapter for the venerated, 20-year-old franchise. The game’s burgeoning history has had its ups and downs, and IGN is taking a closer look at the games with famous personalities involved throughout the years.

In the video below, Bandai Namco’s MarkMan opens up by talking about the 3D feel of SoulCalibur on the Dreamcast. Popular streamers Aris (Avoiding the Puddle) and Maximilian Dood talk about what made the game different from others — the movement, the speed, the characters, and of course, ring outs. SC player Bibulus brings up the iconic announcer who always reminds us that we’re fighting on the Stage of History. Kayane also steps in to talk about her trajectory in the esports scene and how Xianghua resonates with her personally. They also bring up how spirited the SoulCalibur communities have been, particularly in France.

UK Street Fighter V Pros Tyrant and PackZ return today with another episode in the long running SF tutorial series, Frame Advantage. Today, they study the many options of Street Fighter V‘s ninja prodigy, Ibuki.

There’s a lot of parallels between herself and Akuma, whom the crew thoroughly dissected earlier in the series. Both characters are option-heavy, high damage characters with strong emphasis on post-knockdown momentum. Ibuki has a little bit less versatility than her shoto-counterpart, but makes up for it in frustrating wakeup 50/50’s and one of the best approaches in Street Fighter — EX Kunai.
