Arcade UFO Weekly streaming Tekken 7 3v3 team tournament live from Austin, Texas
Arcade UFO has served as the stomping grounds for the Austin, TX FGC for a decade now. First formed in 2008, it has produced top players in a wide range of games and hosted events for SBO Qualifiers, Namco’s Tekken Tag 2 location tests, and more.
With a growing scene for Tekken 7 that has drawn top players from surrounding cities like San Antonio and Houston, Arcade UFO has now moved into regular streaming for its growing weeklies. The format is shaken up a bit this week, though, as UFO’s best 3D heads slug it out in a 3v3 team format.

Microsoft Confirms Its Purchase of inXile & Obsidian
Eurogamer is reporting that Microsoft has confirmed its purchase of two major RPG studios, Obsidian Entertainment and inXile Entertainment. inXile’s most recent game is The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep, while Obsidian’s latest is Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Sea of Thieves: The Arena Official Announce Trailer
Microsoft has announced that Sea of Thieves will be expanding in earlyish 2019 with the release of The Arena, a new PvP experience for the busy pirate with a bone to pick. During gameplay, pirates will set sail to hunt down treasure in a location that will pretty much force combat with other players.
“Soul Frames” Beta, a SoulCalibur VI Frame Data App, launches on Google Play
If you were a fan of the idea behind the Tekken Chicken app for Tekken 7 and wanted something similar for Namco’s sword-based sibling SoulCalibur VI, then you’ll want to keep an eye on a brand new project that just went into beta for mobile devices: Soul Frames.
Version 0.0.2 (beta) is out on google play.

At the moment it only displays move-lists for select characters (it is in beta, after all!) but Soul Frames aims to be a one-stop source for sword-slinging data. You can download the beta here on the Play Store. An iPhone version is in the works, as well!

Star Wars: The Old Republic to Launch Jedi Under Siege in December
The Star Wars: The Old Republic site has been updated to let the community know that the next major content update is launching in December. Jedi Under Siege takes place on “the ancient Jedi world of Ossus” where the Sith have invaded. Players will be able to support either side of the struggle irrespective of their current player faction. “Will you support your own faction, or secretly sabotage their efforts in order to support your former enemies?”
8BitDo’s Gbros Wireless Adapter will allow GameCube controllers to be used on Switch
For any players looking for ways to play the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Switch with their GameCube controllers, a new option has popped up. 8BitDo, creator of retro-styled game controllers, has a new wireless adaptor that will allow GameCube controllers to work on Nintendo’s console portable hybrid.
The 8BitDo GBros Wireless Adapter will let players connect their GameCube controllers via bluetooth to the Switch. The adapter itself comes with the Home and Screenshot buttons normally found on JoyCons, that Nintendo’s own wired adapter does not have. 8BitDo claims that the device will have a charge time of 30 hours on its built in battery. Charging is done via USB-C, and the unit can also be powered by 2 AA batteries.
The biggest draw of the adapter, however, is the fact that it can be used while the Switch is in tabletop mode — something that Nintendo’s own wired adapter cannot do due to its need to be connected to the dock.
Aside from GameCube controllers, the adapter will also work with NES Classic, SNES Classic, and Wii Classic controllers. Additionally, it is also compatible with PC.
The 8BitDo GBros Wireless Adapter will become available for purchase for $20 on December 7, 2018 — the same day that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches on Switch. Interested players can pre-order it over on Amazon.

French Bread-focused major “Climax of Night” streaming live from Atlanta, GA
Climax of Night is America’s first dedicated Soft Circle French Bread tournament, located in Atlanta, GA. This developer is responsible for Melty Blood, Under Night In-Birth, and Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, and their design philosophy and style have been hugely influential to the anime fighting game sub-genre as a whole. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT summons Final Fantasy X’s Yuna into battle
A free-to-play version isn’t the only big news for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT this week. Square Enix has also revealed the next DLC character for the game — Yuna.
Series veterans will remember Yuna from Final Fantasy X where she was a summoner who also served as the main love interest of main character Tidus. Her Dissidia incarnation brings her summoning into play, as she can use summons to help attack her opponents from afar. Along with her release comes a new stage called the “Final Battlefield”.
Square Enix has released trailers for both Yuna, the “Final Battlefield” stage, as well as the free-to-play release, which you can see below.
Yuna and the Final Battlefield stage arrive in Dissidia Final Fantasy for arcades on November 15. They’re expected to hit Dissidia Final Fantasy NT for PlayStation 4 in December.
