Red Bull Kumite 2018: Last Chance Qualifier streaming live from Paris, France

Get ready for the clash!

Red Bull Kumite comes back to Paris, France on November 11, 2018 — and 16 of Street Fighter V‘s best of the best will clash in an epic invitational battle:

On November 11th, the world’s greatest Street Fighter V players meet in the ring for Red Bull Kumite! One of esport’s most prestigious competitions, Red Bull Kumite showcases 16 fighters in a clash worthy of combat sports in Paris’ iconic Salle Wagram.

But before the main event, there’s a shot for more players to top off tomorrow’s bracket with a Last Chance Qualifier held today, November 10th. Check out the bracket at smash.gg. Catch the action on the English stream at twitch.tv/redbullesports starting at 1:30 AM PT. Players competing for those last spots in the Kumite today include RB|Gachikun, NASR|Big Bird, Blind Warrior Sven, WydD, and many more.

VesperArcade discusses potential changes to Cammy in Street Fighter V Season 4

VesperArcade has set his sights on the character everyone in Street Fighter V seems to love to hate. Considered strong since Season 1, she has only climbed the tier list to the point of top 5 status in Season 3. There has since hardly been a top 8 that does not see Cammy represented, as she is the highest-used character in finals of the Capcom Pro Tour this year.

VesperArcade discusses ways that Cammy should be approached in changes in the coming season. While a lot of the problems could be addressed with buffs from other characters, things such as her throw are definitely on the wishlist to be changed directly.

Fighting EX Layer is on sale for PlayStation 4 in Asia

For any Asian players looking to pick up the excellent Fighting EX Layer, here’s some great news for you. The game is currently on sale for PlayStation 4 in the region.

The sale is being held in time with Singles Day, which is a pretty large shopping holiday in some countries in the region. It applies PlayStation stores in various Asian countries, barring Japan. Both the Light and Standard version of the game are on sale for 30% off. However, PlayStation Plus subscribers get an additional discount with the Light version now at 50% off and the Standard version is now 40% off.

For those interested in taking advantage of the sale, take note that it only lasts until Monday, November 12.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will receive free-to-play version in Japan

While Dissidia Final Fantasy NT has been a tough sell, developer Square Enix aims to make it easier to access in hopes to profit off of the title. As stated in the most recent issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan, Dissidia will receive a free-to-play version on November 22nd on the PlayStation 4.

The free-to-play scheme rivals that of traditional fighter Killer Instinct, where characters will be available on rotation. This version also does away with story mode and focuses on battles, but allows for online play between users of the free version and the paid version. Additionally, you can buy specific characters through packs for 800 yen.

It is currently unknown if we will also see this free-to-play scheme in the West.
