Trove Development Will Continue, Though PC / Console Versions will be ‘Decoupled’

Trove players can relax now that Gamigo, the new owner of the Trove IP, has gone on record saying that the development of the game will continue, though it will be with a smaller dev team than before. According to the letter from the new team, having a smaller dev group will “give us the opportunity to create a more agile development structure and that “by moving away from a massive, monolithic plan” for each update, they allow the team to focus on exciting features.

SoulCalibur VI glitches let Voldo and Tira use meter-powered mechanics without having full meter

A bug has been discovered in SoulCalibur VI that gives some characters access to meter-powered mechanics without having the requisite meter for it.

Voldo’s glitch seems to be the more serious one, as it allows him free use of both Soul Charge and Critical Edge. Based on the video below from MaxSWGA, it seems that during the transition from crouch dashing (while in his back-turned state) allows Voldo to use both of those mechanics.

Sean Appleby has done a bit more testing, and has discovered a number of things that bug allows — including multiple ways to combo into Critical Edge for free. These are detailed in the thread following the tweet below.

Tira’s glitch on the other hand was discovered at about the same time. This time, she can activate Soul Charge with only half a bar while in her Gloomy state.

Of the two, it’s the Voldo glitch that seems more game-breaking. In fact, Some TOs have already made using it grounds for disqualification in their tournaments. Meanwhile, there’s still some debate on whether Tira’s is something intentional or not.

Omen of Sorrow’s launch trailer reveals Actorious and Thalessa

Just in time for its November 6 launch on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, a new trailer has dropped for AOne Game’s Omen of Sorrow. While most launch trailers tend to just recap the known features of a game, this one actually reveals two new characters!

Revealed in this launch trailer are Arctorious, the ghostly “king at the crossroads”, and Thalessa, the invisible queen. The latter may be familiar to those following the game as she’s front and center in the cover art for it.

With their introduction, this leaves only one more character, who hasn’t yet been properly revealed.

In addition to the above trailer, AOne Games co-founder Sebastian Gana has also written a detailed write up of their game over at the PlayStation Blog.

Omen of Sorrow launches on November 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The physical edition launches on the same day in Europe, however North Americans will have to wait until November 20 for it.
