When the World of Warcraft: Classic demo debuts once BlizzCon gets underway tomorrow, players will have a limit to how long they can play before being “booted” and unable to play for a short period of time. After an hour’s cumulative playtime, you’ll have to wait for the 30 minute Global Cool Down in order to play again.

Arc System Works will be releasing a patch later today for their cross-over 2v2 fighter BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. Ahead of that, they’ve revealed what’s in it… and if their notes are anything to go by, it’s not a lot. The patch addresses a few minor bugs:
・Fixed an issue where players were able to perform semi permanent combos during Cross Combo.
・Fixed an issue where Aegis’ skill Megido Fire – Kai’s hit box did not function properly under certain situations.
・Fixed an issue where Mitsuru Kirijo’s skill, “Bufula” did not disappear properly under certain situations.
ArcSys’s patch notes indicate that it is only for the PlayStation 4. If a Switch patch is planned, it has not currently been announced.

Earlier this year Marvel Strike Force was moving at a breakneck pace, not giving players much chance to even prepare for all the things FoxNext was throwing at them, but the team appeared to heed the feedback from frustrated players and slow things down a bit. I’m not sure what’s going on here, but things look to be speeding up again and I’m already feeling a bit overwhelmed.
During a live stream event yesterday, Intrepid Studios wowed viewers with the news that “Alpha One, Phase One” is being renamed as Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse, a stand-alone F2P portion of the game that will launch for everyone to try out in December. The castle siege, horde and battle royale modes will be moving off to become separate from Ashes of Creation the MMO. Current backers are enjoying a month’s head start on Apocalypse, but everyone can expect a chance to try it soon.
A new patch for Tekken 7 showed up overnight! Version 2.02 is not a massive game altering patch, but it provides a number of bug fixes and even a few quality of life perks for select characters. The full patch notes can be read here.
While many of the changes are cosmetic — perhaps the most amusing one belong to Anna, as they have corrected “her weird neck” in various moves — some of the notes contain important revisions. Gigas players, many of whom were torn over the Season 2 changes, will be pleased in particular: they’re getting their old DF+1 back!
