Omen of Sorrow‘s Erzébet Bathory was always a likely choice for the first DLC character: she features somewhat prominently in its story mode and was one of the most requested characters upon release. Her announcement today as the first of AOne Games’s “Season 1” DLC characters may not be a surprise, but the fact that she’s absolutely free, is:

On top of that, AOne Games intends to release all future DLC characters for free, as well. It’s pure speculation, but the glyph graphic at the end of Erzébet’s trailer above indicates that we have three more DLC characters on the way. Not bad!

World War 3 has received a big new update just in time for vacation-time gameplay. The update includes new maps called prototype Smolensk and TDM Berlin.
