Rising Up: Season 4 — Important changes for Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, and Nash

Following the conclusion of the year 2018 Capcom Pro Tour, Capcom has released Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s newest character, “Kage,” along with a balance patch to give each character some new bells and whistles. This patch changes every character and addresses some of the most common complaints about Season 3 and 3.5. By popular demand, I’ll be continuing my series on ShoryukenTube wherein I analyze the Season 4 patch notes and describe how the changes will affect each character’s combos and playstyle going forward. While it’s critical to know your own character’s balance adjustments, you also benefit from knowing your opponent’s options against you.

So far, I’ve made videos describing the most important changes for Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, and Nash:

Here’s the playlist for all characters so far, which I’ll update as I go.

I’ll be working my way through the roster in the same order as the in-game character list, so next time I hope to cover M. Bison, Vega, Birdie, Karin, and R. Mika. Remember to subscribe to the ShoryukenTube YouTube channel so you don’t miss out!

JUMP FORCE story trailer revealed alongside My Hero Academia’s Izuku Midoriya announcement, and tons of new screenshots

Shonen Jump worlds collide in the most literal way in the newest JUMP FORCE trailer.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has been releasing bits of information regarding the storyline of the upcoming anime fighter JUMP FORCE with character designs and custom character screenshots, and now players will finally get an in-depth look at the drama the title has to offer. Via malicious villains meddling with our reality and the worlds “collectively known as Jump“, characters from throughout history have clashed and need the player’s help to get things the way they should be.

The trailer gives a good look at the character creator and custom move selection. Players can create a truly unique-looking fighter by utilizing clothing and accessories found throughout Shonen Jump‘s ever-expanding library, as well as mix and match super moves used by both heroes and villains. It also appears that characters can socialize with one another in a world hub, similar to the one included in Bandai Namco Entertainment’s long supported fighter/RPG hybrid, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Start building your dream Jump experience now through the trailer below!

JUMP FORCE is releasing on February 15 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with pre-order bonuses, an “Ultimate Edition” that grants DLC and three days early access, and a collector’s edition with a slick statue of the publisher’s big three franchises and plenty of other goodies.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has been ramping up their reveals for JUMP FORCE and in just one week five characters were announced including the previously covered Trunks, Renji, and Boa Hancock, the recently announced Asta from the current hit, Black Clover, and now the magazine’s main showrunner, Izuku Midorya from My Hero Academia fame is bringing his strength to the battle. Check out these screenshots for all of the recently announced fighters below in the game’s signature hyper-realistic style.

There are no plans for a Season Pass for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition in 2019

For those waiting for a season pass to purchase Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition‘s Kage (and any other new characters for next year), here’s some bad news. Capcom has confirmed that they have no plans for a Season Pass in 2019.

The announcement came via a tweet on the official Street Fighter Twitter account. The tweet confirmed both this, and reiterated that Kage would only be available as an individual purchase via either in-game currency or real money.

Of course, the announcement has met with a lot of negative reactions from the community. Many in the community have been waiting for the season pass announcement, including tournament organizers who use them to help keep their consoles updated.

That said, Capcom did state to wait for further announcements. While the expectation seems to be that these “further announcements” will simply be more characters that will have to be bought individually, there are some who are speculating that this ties into the supposed “Super Street Fighter V” that has been leaked by some sources.
