Guild Wars 2: A Star Guiding Us to Kralkatorric

Since we have a date for Episode 5, January 8th for anyone who missed it, I figured it was a good time to look back and recap where things left off in A Star to Guide Us. With the couple of month gaps between each episode I have found I often forget a lot of what happens during the episode. Additionally the trailer gave us a bit of a glimpse into All or Nothing and I have some ideas about where the story will be going from here.

Monster Hunter: World x Assassin’s Creed Collab Arrives as a New Year’s Surprise

Capcom has released a new video that showcases a collaboration between Monster Hunter: World and the Assassin’s Creed franchise. While we already knew that The Witcher crossover content is to arrive with the Iceborne expansion in late 2019, the Assassin’s Creed content comes as a bit of a surprise. The Assassin’s Creed collab will be available through January 10th for console players and will come to PC “at a later date”.

English translation of Project Soul’s thoughts on latest SoulCalibur VI balance changes now available

Legendary SoulCalibur pro Hayate_Ein has gone through the trouble of translating the developer interviews for the most recent balance changes of SoulCalibur VI. If you were curious about a decision made in the latest version of the game — or about some of the changes to come — then you’ll want to check out his translation here.

Perhaps most interesting — and troubling — is the lengthy discussion around the controversial nerf to Siegfried and Nightmare’s ring out throws. There was speculation that this was to appease complaints from online-only players, and it turns out that was exactly the case. With all the good decisions made in version 1.10 — it’s worrying that this is the type decision making that could impact future changes.

TheoryFighter demonstrates trade setups and combos for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s Sakura

Tired of opponents pressing buttons against your Sakura in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition? With a little bit of conditioning and awareness, you can use this to your advantage thanks to the small gap on Sakura’s special cancel-able normals.

Any errant trade with a special-cancelled Hadouken allows Sakura to link into decent damage, as TheoryFighter demonstrates in his latest video. Some of these setups vary in practicality — but this is still an excellent demonstration of the trade threat both in the corner and midscreen.

In their never-ending quest to cover the 16,000+ changes in Season 2 of Tekken 7, YouTubers That Blasted Salami have tackled two new characters in today’s uploads: Heihachi and Hwoarang!

These two share more in common than just the letter H — both offensively minded fighters received considerable buffs to their bully ability. Heihachi picked up better tracking on his EWGF, and Hwoarang picked up a new mid power crush with the ability to hit-confirm its two hits. That just scratches the surface, though: check out the video above to get the full details!
