Fighting EX Layer shares DLC release schedule plans for early 2019, shows off new gameplay footage of Sharon

Fighting EX Layer developers ARIKA just shared a rough outline of their plans for early 2019, and it looks like they’ve got a lot coming your way: new music, new balance adjustments, and a rough date for its three new characters Sharon, Area, and Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard.  You can see the full schedule, and new gameplay for Sharon, in the video below:

Though never mentioned by name, the new game-play footage likely means Sharon will be the first to touch down on consoles at the end of March, with Area and Terry (whom, as the guest character, is likely the paid DLC character) coming in May.

SNK is providing full support, including prize pool bonuses, to Frosty Fausting XI’s The King of Fighters XIV tournament

SNK continues to provide support to tournaments running their games. The latest tournament to get such support is January’s upcoming Frosty Faustings.

The King of Fighters XIV tournament at Frosty Faustings will receive a $500 pot bonus from SNK; combined with contributions from others, this brings to total prize pool bonuses for KOFXIV to $900. In addition to the prize pool bonus, SNK will also be providing exclusive SNK and KOF merchanise to the finalists of the tournament.

Frosty Faustings XI takes place this coming January 18 to 19, 2019 at the Clarion Inn & Waterford Conference Center in Elmhurst, IL.

Shooting Stuff with the Black Desert Online Archer

To my dismay, Black Desert Online hasn’t quite evolved into the group PVE direction I wanted when I reviewed the game years ago. But that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on Pearl Abyss’ wonderfully complex and gorgeous MMO. I still go back every so often, but it’s been several months since my last visit. This time, my return was brought on by the Legolas-But-Not-Really Archer, the new male ranger class that was added this week.

Legends of Aria Comprehensive Impressions

I’ve seen the name Legends of Aria posted on our website in the top five voted games for a while, but I was always skeptical about it. It seemed to offer a throwback, almost identical to Ultima Online. Was I truly ready for such a game? Would it even be worth the time and effort? They surely couldn’t do the game justice could they? I had my doubts, truly, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by what I’ve seen so far.

Assist the Wildlife World Fund by Placing Bamboo Blocks in Minecraft

In celebration of the release of “cats and pandas” on the Minecraft Bedrock servers, developers are challenging players to place a million bamboo blocks to trigger a donation to the World Wildlife Fund in the amount of $100,000. “We’re confident this donation isn’t a matter of “if”, it’s a matter of “when”,” developers wrote. Last year, the Minecraft community was instrumental in seeing $100,000 donated to the Nature Conservancy, so devs are confident in the same happening this year.
