The Atlas Twitter account has announced that the Early Access Steam launch of the game has been delayed by six days and will now arrive on December 19th. The delay is being provided to give the dev team “time to review every portion of it thoroughly”.
Recently, the Final Fantasy XIV team sat down with an in-house interviewer to talk about the lore in the game and how they go about creating a great story. We have that interview that covers a range of topics including how lore is created, what challenges the team has faced and much more.
The Final Fantasy XIV development team recently participated in a round of in-house interviews. One of them featured Soken-San, the composer of the game’s soundtrack. In this interview, he speaks to creating the perfect mood for the game as well as the challenges he has faced over the years.
Valnir Rok, the Viking-themed survival RPG, has been updated to bring a completely reworked combat system into the game. According to the update notes, the combat system has “received a new netcode that will highly improve the overall performance for players”. To celebrate, the dev team is sponsoring a special streamer PvP tournament on Thursday, December 13th where a number of “influencers” will duke it out in a double elimination battle for dominance.
The World of Warcraft site has been updated with the Tides of Vengeance update notes to give players a peek at what they can expect after today’s maintenance (tomorrow for EU). Players will find a number of new features, updated class abilities and activities in which to participate as the faction war gets back underway.
Earlier this month, the Chinese government revealed the formation of the “Online Ethics Review Committee” that would determine if games published in China violate current legislation with regard to social norms and ethics. As a result, the committee has been reviewing current games and has banned several games and placed several as “needing corrective action”. The list of banned games includes PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Ring of Elysium, Paladins, Fortnite, H1Z1 & Alliance of Valiant Arms.
Today marks the start of the Overwatch annual Winter Wonderland event which comes, of course, with a lot of new skins, sprays, voice lines, victory poses and more. YouTuber Izuniy cobbled together all the teaser videos for the new skins into one video so you can check out what’s new for 2018!
Ghost Recon Wildlands will be getting a big new update later today when Special Operation 3: Future Soldier launches. New content includes new weapons and icons, new PvP classes and much more. The patch weighs in at a hefty 18.1GB for PC, 5.8GB on Steam and “up to 18GB on consoles”.
Rockstar has announced that after today’s Grand Theft Auto Online update, players will be able to participate in a new game feature called Arena War. The game mode is a completely new one that sends players off to the Maze Bank Arena and features a completely unique progression system where players can use Arena Points to rank up and unlock new customization options to rain terror on opponents.
