Everyone has a fighting chance

With Bandai Namco Entertainment’s massive 3V3 arena fighter JUMP FORCE set to release in a matter of days, it was time to finally pull back the curtain on a much-requested pair of beloved Shonen Jump characters that have appeared to close out the game’s launch cast. The main protagonist and antagonist of Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, Jotaro Kujo and the villainous DIO, have finally stepped into the JUMP FORCE ring.
Wielding their iconic Stands, Star Platinum and The World, respectively, Jotaro batters foes with his signature barrage of rapid-fire punches, the Star Finger, and what appears to be his time stop as his Ultimate. DIO also battles in a similar melee style (they are both close-range Stands, after all), while mixing in The World’s ability to stop time, the vampire’s ability to drain the blood of his enemies, as well as his iconic knife barrage and infamous Road Roller to squash his adversaries in style.
It seems that these legendary Stand users will close out the game’s base roster of characters, as Bandai Namco Entertainment tweeted that there are no more fighters left to be revealed. However, there will be nine additional DLC characters released post-launch via a Season Pass. You can see the bizarre reveal trailer below.
This brings our final base roster count to 42 playable characters from 16 Weekly Shonen Jump series, including:

Since its release in January 2018, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s Extra Battle has continuously offered players various in-game rewards for defeating special AI opponents — provided the have the required amount of Fight Money available to challenge them. This has mainly come in the form of special Crossover Costumes that see the cast of Street Fighter V dressed up as various characters from other notable Capcom franchises, such as Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry, Plasma Sword, Captain Commando, and Forgotten Worlds, to name some.
Currently, Ryu’s Jin Saotome Crossover Costume from Cyberbots is in its third week, and Capcom also recently announced the next crossover attire coming to the game afterwards. Following up from the Air Man Crossover Costume for Rashid back in August, Capcom has announced another Word Warrior will be getting dressed up as a Robot Master from Mega Man: Balrog will be receiving his first Crossover Costume, turning him into the mighty Guts Man. The first challenge will begin on February 15th, and as always will cost players, 2,500 Fight Money per attempt, with the outfit only obtainable by collecting all four Gems over the course of four consecutive weeks (setting you back a minimum of 10,000 Fight Money total). There will likely also be an additional Extra Battle for Guts Man’s Crossover BGM as well. You can see the official announcement from the Street Fighter Twitter account below.
