Neverwinter Blog Details a Unified Boon UI & Boon Tiers

The Neverwinter site has been updated with a new developer blog that showcases some big changes coming to the Boon System. Most notably, the team recognized the need for a unified UI to show all Boons on a single interface. In addition, Boons have now been grouped into five Tiers, with each tier offering more options “allowing you to invest points into the boons you feel most benefit your playstyle or build”.

Elder Scrolls Online Updated with Wrathstone to Begin the Season of the Dragon

Elder Scrolls Online’s yearlong Season of the Dragon has kicked off starting today with the release of the Wrathstone DLC and Update 21. Players will find a pair of new dungeons: Depths of Malatar and Frostvault, both of which lead up to the Elsweyr content expansion coming on June 4th. “Each dungeon holds one-half of the ancient Wrathstone tablet, the key that Abnur Tharn later uses to open the Halls of Colossus, accidentally unleashing the dragons upon Elsweyr”.

Former Diablo 3 Developer Examines Loot & Rewards in Anthem

Former Diablo 3 Systems Designer Travis Day (now with Phoenix Labs / Dauntless) has been playing Anthem a lot “for the past week” and has been enjoying himself, according to a new post on the Anthem Reddit. In it, Day takes time to examine some “reward system related traps” that he’s discovered and to “offer some possible solutions in an effort to help make this game, which I’m enjoying, more compelling”. Day targets five areas he believes would radically change the two systems.

Black Desert Online Devs & Community Gather to Honor a Fallen Player

Late last night, Black Desert Online players came together to memorialize a comrade named “Pillowpunch” who recently passed away. Black Desert developers sent out a Twitter post with the details and later posted a series of screenshots of the well-attended event on the game’s Facebook page. Guild members thanked the devs and the community for their support for “him and his extended online family”.

The Repopulation Team Publishes 2019 Roadmap & Introduces the New Starting Island

The Repopulation site has been updated with a new post that provides the community with a look at the most recent development milestones to the game. While some of 2018’s roadmap spilled into 2019, developers were able to “complete several goals” with a lot of “forward movement”. Most recently, the team has been working on the Tutorial Island by overhauling its scripting and preparing it for new terrain textures.
