Two of the best with these two 3rd Strike characters come to blows in Street Fighter V’s Season 2; Alienware’s Nemo recently made the switch from Vega to Urien, and has already made great strides with the character.
Today, he goes up against Gunfight, who has been considered one of the top Alex players for a long time. Will Nemo’s inexperience with his new main prove to be weakness against Gunfight? Or will he show himself dominant against one of the best in the game?

Looks like Jax’s daughter is coming into her own in Mortal Kombat XL. A strong character in her own right, she definitely has the combo potential to be entertaining; watch her prove it in this eleven-minute-long combo video that features her Full Auto, High Tech, and Shotgun variations. While a great deal of these invlove with her playing from the corner, the breadth of her combo ability is put on full display.

Balrog was always able to dole out damage in Street Fighter V. However, through Season 1 it was in a straightforward way much akin to his spacing game in Street Fighter IV. With the Season 2 changes, Balrog is looking more like his Super Street Fighter II Turbo self and less like his Street Fighter IV self. With a few adjustments, he has found 50/50 mixups that allow him to do a great deal of damage, upwards of 70% damage on your average cast member. Between his overhead out of V-Skill and low forward, Balrog will put a lot of players on notice.

Justin Wong is full of surprises recently; first, he parts ways with Evil Geniuses. Then, he inks a deal with rising stars Echo Fox. Now, he may be considering even bigger moves.
According to Yahoo! Esports: Justin Wong, who has been living in Northern California working for nVidia while training with Northern California fellow Evil Genius Ricki Oritz, is considering giving up his position at the company to move to Southern California. This move would allow him to be closer to the Echo Fox studios to practice alongside his teammates.

With Momochi being one of the several exiles from Evil Geniuses that found their way in the Echo Fox camp, one must assume that the incoming organization has high expectations of the Japanese player. However, unable to crack top 16 at Capcom Cup or Evolution 2016, he will have a long road to propel him to the top of the charts.

In the mass hysteria of the multiple high-profile signings of Team Echo Fox recently comes one hidden value in Scar. One of the perennial favorites in NetherRealm games, including a #3 rank on the Mortal Kombat X leaderboard, he has won several events including SoCal Regionals and East Coast Throwdown.
Now the newly signed player speaks out on his hopes to prove himself on Echo Fox, as well as his battle with health issues and being teammates with Sonic Fox, one of his personal rivals on the circuit.

The Tekken series has a history of amazing competitions over the years. While we have yet to see any announcement of a revival of Tekken Crash in Korea, one of the largest Tekken events in the world, another team-based Tekken event is returning nonetheless.
Mark “Markman” Julio just passed along the announcement of Mastercup 9, Japan’s most prestigious Tekken event. A team tournament much like Korea’s Crash events, as well as Mattsun’s X-EST tournament for Super Street Fighter II Turbo, this will shape up to be a massive event.
While dates are not yet set in stone, we should be expecting amazing matches at this event, as well as the potential for a dangerous Team USA with Tekken 7 releasing on consoles soon.

InControl Gaming is jumping into the fighting game circuit just in time for the release of Tekken 7: Fated Retribution and the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour. It was announced that their first acquisition in the FGC is top American Tekken player Stephen “Speedkicks” Stafford.
Stafford, a Hwoarang main who was the 2016 Final Round, Kumite in Tennessee, and Wizard World champion–and also made top 8 at Evolution 2016–was formerly signed with Circa Esports prior to joining InControl. Whether this will be the first of several fighting game acquisitions for the organization–given the mass signings recently by Echo Fox–remains to be seen.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has been overshadowed as of late, with other Arc System Works titles such as BlazBlue: Central Fiction and Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- taking prominence over it. That doesn’t mean that community involvement is at a standstill with the game, as people are still innovating within its interesting mechanics and systems.
Banana Ken–one of America’s best in the game–is one of those people. Sticking with his tried-and-true Shadow Labrys, he has continued to expand his working knowledge of this title and created some new combos. All of these are featured in this excellent combo video.
