When we were putting together the last Electric Wind God Vids tutorial on defeating Leo’s B+1,4 string (which you can check out here!), an odd problem arose: sometimes characters could step in-between the string, and sometimes they couldn’t. These inconsistent results were not human error: it happened when the computer was programmed to step post-block, too. It also didn’t seem to correlate to the range of the B+1, so late active frames couldn’t be blamed for this. What gives?
This is a hypothesis, but we suspect that the cause is the defender’s hurt-spheres not realigning after blocking the initial hit. The issue only occurs if you don’t manually realign your off-axis state before blocking Leo’s b+1. So, in this video, we visually demonstrate this problem, and how to avoid it happening to you!
