Sanwa Denshi, Arc System Works Releasing Limited Edition BlazBlue: Central Fiction Arcade Parts

Sanwa Denshi has been on a roll as of late with their collaborations on limited edition arcade parts. For Tokyo Game Show, they have partnered with Arc System Works to release a series of pushbuttons and dust covers featuring characters from their upcoming fighter BlazBlue: Central Fiction.

But don’t worry if you aren’t able to fly all the way to Tokyo to pick some up for yourself, as Arcade Shock will be making a limited number of these items available for purchase on their site. Pre-orders are open now, so be sure to check them out here if you’re interested.

These items are expected to ship around October 12. In the meantime, check out the art below and let us know what you think.

Enjoy Some Flashy Chipp Combos in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-

As we’ve mentioned time and time again, impractical combos are oftentimes some of the most impressive looking, eschewing practicality in favor of creative setups that aren’t really viable in real matches. This new video by ArT focuses on a variety of these combos in Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, specifically dealing with the American ninja turned president Chipp Zanuff.

Guilty Gear Xrd on its own already has a very open combo system that allows a great amount of freedom for those willing to explore it. With his high mobility and tricky moves, Chipp in particular can really exploit this flexibility to pull off some flashy combos.

Vesper Arcade, Spab Rog Break Down Rashid’s Street Fighter V Trailer

Vesper Arcade has been doing a great job providing his thoughts on each of Street Fighter V’s characters based on the footage that’s been released of them. Now, with the reveal of newcomer Rashid, Vesper is back with another trailer breakdown.

As with his other videos, Vesper first goes over Rashid’s special moves, using additional footage provided by GAMES15 attendees, before touching on his potential in the overall Street Fighter V cast.

This time around, however, Vesper is joined by east coast player Spab Rog, who provided his own analysis in a separate video. Much like the one above, this was dropped before Capcom’s official breakdown, but still raises some interesting points about Rashid’s potential gameplay mechanics.

Learn to Control the Distance of Fox’s Illusion in Super Smash Bros. Melee

If there’s any character that can be said to be the face of competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee, it has to be Fox. The Star Fox lead has become nearly synonymous with the game due to his domination in competitive play.

With that said, it’s understandable that anyone wanting to get into competitive Melee is bound to give Fox a try. MikeHazeGaming recently shared a tutorial that goes over one of the things aspiring Fox players will need to learn: how to control his side special, Fox Illusion.

Fox Illusion is a lightning quick sideways dash whose length and hitbox can be controlled depending on when the startup is canceled. The key to this is to listen for a whoosh sound, which plays during the 20th frame of the startup pose, and players must learn to press B at specific frames after this to be able to properly control the move.

Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- Heading to Consoles in Spring 2016

If there’s any question on the minds of many Guilty Gear players, it’s when the game’s latest version, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-, will be hitting home consoles.

According to Inside Games, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 sometime in the first half of 2016. Arc System Works’ continued support for the older platform should be great news for players who have yet to upgrade.

While this date only concerns a Japanese release, Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- arrived in North America less than two weeks after its initial release, so there’s hope this carries over to the upcoming title.

In addition to updated gameplay mechanics, -REVELATOR- introduces veterans Johnny and Jam Kuradoberi and newcomer Jack-O to the playable cast. A fourth character is expected, based off a fan vote that begins in arcades later this month.

Saigon Cup 2015 Streaming Live from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

While the Fall Classic takes place in North Carolina, another Capcom Pro Tour event is taking place in the Far East. Saigon Cup features some of the top Ultra Street Fighter IV players as they duke it out for more points in the hopes of securing a spot in Capcom Cup later this year. In addition to this, the winner of the event also gets a chance to compete at the Capcom Pro Tour Asia finals in Singapore in November.

Attending the event are YBK|Shiro, Gonzalez, Itabashi Zangief, KOK, and Manila Cup champion TONPY from Japan; Qanba.DouYuTV|Xiao Hai, DouYuTV|God of Sky, and Jiewa from China; CCG|Humanbomb from Hong Kong; RZR|Gackt from Singapore; Chuan from Malaysia; and Marn from the USA.

The tournament starts at 2:00 PM Vietnam time (12:00 AM PDT). Brackets for the event can be found here.

Juri Gets Impractical in This Amazing Ultra Street Fighter IV Combo Video

Sometimes, the best combo videos are those that focus on impractical situations resulting in combos that are so reliant on very specific sets of actions and circumstances from both characters that you’ll never see them used in an actual competitive match.

This latest Ultra Street Fighter IV video from ArmchairTitan is definitely one of those times. Here, he focuses on Juri, creating unique setups that allow her to land some amazing combos that you’d normally never see during a tournament. Add in some creative editing and you have one impressive and, at times, hilarious video.

HORI’s Real Arcade Pro V Silent Coming Stateside via Arcade Shock

While HORI regularly releases their arcade sticks in the west, a good number stay in the east, never to make it across the Pacific. Their Real Arcade Pro V Silent for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 is one such product.

As the name implies, the Hori Real Arcade Pro V Silent uses special parts to decrease the noise that it produces. This is great for people who play in households where loud arcade stick noises run the risk of disturbing family members or roommates.

Now, this peripheral is finally receiving a limited release in the west thanks to our friends over at Arcade Shock. Interested buyers can pre-order for $179.99, and the first 100 will also receive a special black Kuro button with the kuro kanji printed on the cap.

The Hori Real Arcade Pro V Silent uses a special version of the Hayabusa lever with optical sensors instead of mechanical microswitches alongside Kuro buttons with dampening pads. This brings the noise level down from 53dB for the lever to only 5dB, and from 75dB for the buttons to 9dB.

Pre-orders are expected to ship sometime in late November or early December. As with many products of its kind, Real Arcade Pro V Silent stock will be limited, so be sure to visit Arcade Shock as soon as possible if you’re interested in picking one up.
