Team PIE’s Smug recently took his excellent Dudley play to Puerto Rico to compete in Winter Clash 2015. During his trip, the east coast powerhouse participated in a series of exhibition matches against some of the region’s top Ultra Street Fighter IV players, namely eSPR|FGA Mono, OD|Peseta, OD|Orbital, FGE|Rizu, and OD|Amaury.

For those who missed these exhibitions, FGA Mono recently uploaded replays, which we’ve included below. Check them out and let us know what you think of these lesser-known Puerto Rican competitors.

While Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has been out for a few months now, it’s been somewhat overshadowed by some of the more recent fighting game releases. For those who are hoping for more stuff from this game, Jourdal has you covered with a new multi-character combo video.

“Mercurial Blend” features a variety of Narukami, Elizabeth, Margaret, Marie, and Mitsuru combos performed by TSB|Bace. The techniques shown below demonstrate what these characters can do in ver.1.1, so don’t expect all this craziness to carry over once ver.2.0 lands in arcades later this week.

Released last November on the Wii U, the latest installment of Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. franchise has been quickly gaining steam with the series’ players. The online For Glory mode allows players to play in an environment that’s somewhat similar to how Smash is played at offline tournaments.

To showcase just how hype these matches can get, Lythero has released this new video featuring some amazing moments that happened while playing in For Glory mode. Check it out.

The neutral game is one of the most important parts competing in any fighting game and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is no exception. This topic, then, is the focus of this new Princess Peach tutorial video released by Dark.Pch.

For Peach, there are two phases to her neutral game; the first is when she’s bare handed, meaning that she hasn’t picked up a turnip to toss at her opponent yet, and the second is, obviously, when she’s picked up a turnip. The video below goes over what Peach players should be doing in either of these to get the most out of her strengths.

One of the bigger things that Akuma players need to counter in Ultra Street Fighter IV is focus attacks. Since the character’s focus breaking attack is an air move, he usually needs to rely on a crouching short or forward into either hurricane kick or red fireball to break focus. These options, however, don’t always work, depending on how far away the opponent is.

To help users of the Satsui no Hado, the Forbidden Technique TV have come up with a video that shows a few more ways to deal with focus attacks outside of his usual options.

In the video below, they demonstrate how to use in input technique, originally demonstrated by Alex Myers for Sakura, to get a special move to come out after a light attack regardless of whether or not the attack made contact.

With this in mind, they showcase how standing jab into hurricane kick is actually one of his best focus breaking options. Not only is it safer than his other options, but it also leads to some good combos on both normal and counter hit.

Aside from its hectic gameplay, one of the things that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is known for is its unique (and at times divisive) soundtrack. The game ditched themes from previous installments and added an all new jazz soundtrack that remains memorable to this day.

For those who love these iconic themes, Triforcefilms recently put together a video presenting a cappella renditions of three particular pieces – the intro theme, the famous character select theme, and the carnival stage theme.

To help those daunted by such a task, Infil has created this handy, online guide that’s designed to help players wanting to make the switch.

To help Street Fighter players get into the game, Infil uses terms and concepts that are familiar to them, and even takes it a step further by annotating certain topics with short explanations. The guide also utilizes animations and videos to illustrate pertinent points. The result is a tutorial that not only breaks down the game, but also helps illustrate how similar both titles are at their cores.

Combo wizard Persona is back with their first video for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. To start things off, he focuses on every ones favorite vampire dandy, Slayer.

Persona considers Slayer to be a somewhat straightforward character when it comes to combos. Since he isn’t going for practical combos in this video, he doesn’t end the combos with okizeme in mind, instead going for flashiness.
