Start Your Week Off Right with These Ultra Street Fighter IV Combos for Guy, Guile, Hugo, and More

If you’re still struggling to shake off the weekend, maybe this multi-character Ultra Street Fighter IV combo video from Ambassador Foxx will give you the jolt that even that fifth cup of coffee couldn’t.

Ambassador Foxx shows off a wide array of combo-making skill as they unload some big damage strings with a large grouping of cast members. Guy, Guile, Elena, and a few more members show off some of their most damaging options. Perhaps the most terrifying display in the whole video, however, comes when Hugo anti-airs an unsuspecting Dhalsim, which very nearly ends up putting Dhalsim out of the match in a single combo.

Training is Fun! Learn Everything You’ll Need to Know About Sakura’s Ultra Street Fighter IV Combos

If you’ve been looking to get into playing Sakura in Ultra Street Fighter IV, but didn’t know where to begin, this combo guide from shano may be exactly what you need to get your Tatsu loops flowing.

The video starts with all the hit confirmation strings you could ever possibly need. Some of them work on all of the cast, but a great deal of them are character-specific and, in these cases, the video details which openers work against which characters and whether or not they have to be standing–a great way to figure out how to squeeze out a little extra damage from simple combos in certain matchups.

Once the simple details are out of the way, shano gets right into the important stuff: Tatsu loop after glorious, damaging Tatsu loop. Shano also covers counter-hit combos, effective FADC combos for smart meter expenditure, and everything else Sakura players will need to know to secure victory.

Projectile Fighter Lethal League Gets New Content and Balance Patch

LethalLeagueSMALL

The folks at Reptile Games recently pushed out a new patch for their non-traditional fighting title, Lethal League. If this is your first time hearing about the game, think of it as the most intense round of Rose Ball that you’ve ever played.

The patch brought several new additions to the game including a new character, Dice, who brandishes a ping pong paddle to lay waste to his opponents. While the paddle may not seem quite so cool as the weapons Candy Man or Latch bring to the field, the patch notes claim that the new fighter can “deflect and give a spin to almost anything at any speed,” which could stand to add even more chaos to an already hectic game. The game also received a new mode, a new stage, and some new music to keep things interesting.

Of course, there were plenty of balance tweaks added with this update and you can find those below.

Patch Notes

This update adds a new character to the Lethal roster, Dice, the cunning ping pong player. Dice wields an average ping pong paddle with such immense force and control that he’s able to deflect and give a spin to almost anything at any speed.

And there’s more! All characters can now use expressions, like NICE or BRING IT. Added to that is a character unique animation. A new mode has been added called ‘Strikers’, give it a spin by switching the ‘Free For All’ tab and see what that is all about. Another reason to start ballin’ again is the raised XP level, going up to 33 now with new palettes and a special ball as reward.

Changelog:

Make Seth’s Head Spin with Ultra Street Fighter IV’s Pass-Through Glitch

By now, it’s no secret that Ultra Street Fighter IV has its share of oddities when it comes to how character models and animations interact with one another. Many of these oddities manifest when an FADC is used to cancel certain moves against some members of the cast, which allow the attacker to pass seamlessly through to the other side of the defender for a reset that could understandably crack even the heartiest defenses.

To add to this growing list of weird occurrances, it seems that when fighting Seth, some characters have unique pass-through options that don’t involve blowing half of a super meter in order to achieve. This footage from freeno0b demonstrates techniques players can use against the boss character with Cody, Balrog, Rose, and El Fuerte. Some of the setups involve whiffing normals, some involve a simple forward dash, but they all put the player on the offensive behind the downed Seth ready to unload a combo of their choosing.

In these specific instances, the setups only work if the opponent opts not to quick rise, so Seth players can avoid a bad situation by spending less time in the downed position.

Stave Off Cody’s Boredom with This Collection of Character-Specific Ultra Street Fighter IV Combos

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the brand new video from freeno0b we’ve included below may be just the cure for what ails you. These character-specific Cody strings are sure to bring an added level of hype to any match involving the perpetually bored vigilante.

And as an added bonus, here’s another video from freeno0b that demonstrates a couple of different ways that Cody can dizzy Oni. While these combos burn plenty of meter and each involve a single reset to guarantee that Oni actually ends up seeing stars, they’re great tools for Cody players keep in mind for when the momentum of a match swings heavily in their favor.

Chris Redfield Adds Hidden Missiles and Zip Lines to His Arsenal in This Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Combo Video

Chris Redfield’s damage output is nothing to laugh at in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. He totes around enough weapons to outfit an army and once that first hit connects, there’s a good chance that he’ll be able to stylishly dispatch any opponent and build a healthy amount of meter in the process. But what happens when he expands that collection of explosives and gadgets just a little bit more?

In the video below, Dragon Ranshiin teams Chris up with Doctor Doom and Spencer to equip the boulder puncher with the tools he needs to easily put down some of the biggest bodied fighters in the cast without issue. The footage also includes options for Spencer setups into hard tags, raw tag hits that connect and convert to huge damage, and a whole lot more for your viewing pleasure.

Learn Plenty of She-Hulk Resets, Kara Grabs, and More for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

She-Hulk’s name doesn’t come up all that often anymore. There was a time, in the infancy of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (before it took on its Ultimate form) when she found herself on the teams of top players like EG|Justin Wong and Combofiend, to name a few. She was putting her competition away for life at an alarming rate, but then fell completely off the map, forgotten in favor of Vergil, Morrigan, and any number of other characters.

But not everyone dropped the green-skinned crime fighter. One of those who is helping the She-Hulk name live on is mrshanny82. In the footage below, you’ll find some She-Hulk guard breaks, kara grabs, resets, and a whole lot more to help you relive the days when She-Hulk spent entire tournaments doling out justice.

Get Nasty with These Reset Options for Ultra Street Fighter IV’s Decapre

Shoryuken’s very own Franz “d3v” Co recently put together a couple of Ultra Street Fighter IV videos that cover some reset options for Decapre that follow Scramble. These options are a perfect addition to any Decapre’s mixup game and work to add many more layers to her already insane number of ways to open up opponents.

The first video demonstrates the options afforded to Decapre after she lands an EX Scramble Break and then chooses to follow it up with a jumping roundhouse. Decapre will land slightly sooner than the opponent, and from there has a couple of solid options to keep the pressure up: she can go for a low into Stinger or she can throw out another EX Scramble Break for a mixup that will keep her safe from most reversals and, if it hits, will start the whole situation over again.

Combine these concepts with the footage in the second video, which shows off a cross-under option that follows the EX Scramble Break, and you’ve got a lot of options to use to condition opponents and then throw a wrench in their expectations.
