Today, Persona continues their journey of bringing the highest-quality King of Fighters XIII combo videos to the community. Their latest offering focuses on Maxima, and as you might expect, this video is loaded with different methods of properly using the cybernetically enhanced fighter’s high-tech weapons.

As always, Persona has included plenty of kill combos, and in true combo video style, you’ll also get to see a full-screen carry in which Maxima utilizes an opposing projectile to help get rid of those pesky recovery frames. Also, be sure to take a close look at the way the combo against Raiden plays out, as it involves an interesting hit that allows Maxima to continue the combo even though the opponent is clearly in downed frames.

Any time a handful of characters begin to stand out as the most powerful in a game, the tournament scene becomes more and more saturated with them, and understandably so. That has been the case in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for quite some time now–there are, of course, always those character loyalists, or even folks who enjoy fighting the uphill battle that these titans often present.

In an effort to equip one of those low-tier characters with the tools that she needs to survive, MrOrchazm has put together a highlight reel of resets for Felicia while she’s backed up by Shuma-Gorath and Doctor Doom. While one of those aforementioned titans is on the team, the important thing here is that the Darkstalkers veteran leads the charge and, with a little help, she’s able to score big damage off of several situations.

Rhuel47 has been producing high-execution combo videos for Ultra Street Fighter IV’s Dudley for a long time; in fact, the one that we’ve embedded below is the seventh in running a series appropriately named “Master Class.” In it, you’ll find plenty of Dudley technology that varies from impractical to so far from practical that the fact that it was discovered is itself worthy of praise. Good luck ever landing most of this in a match, unless, of course, you’re Team PIE’s Smug.

Every Dudley combo video packs plenty of juggles, so there’s nothing unexpected as far as that’s concerned, but the way in which Rhuel goes about netting them is the real treat. If you watch closely, you’ll also note a handful of rose tosses prior to the beginning of some of these combos, which come down to connect with Dudley’s target right in the middle of his beat down.

If you like flashy combos, you’ll not want to miss this footage.

The Super Best Friends’ most recent episode of Friday Night Fisticuffs shows the team taking to the hard streets of Lethal League for a few rounds of “the most competitive baseball game you’ve ever seen.” If you’re not familiar with the Reptile Games title, it made showings during Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 9’s mystery game tournament as well as at Evolution as part of last year’s indie showcase.

The game is a lot like a two-to-four person match of air hockey, but instead of scoring goals, the objective is to knock out the other players by slamming its anti-gravity projectile into them. The controls consist of only two types of swings, movement inputs, and a jump, so there’s a very low level of entry to get going, but things can get out of hand rather quickly, as showcased in the session below.

In his most recent How to Play 101 video, Alpharad grabs his cap and trusty baseball bat and takes Ness up against the masses of For Glory contenders. Though the Hero of Onett may not be all that popular in the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament scene, he isn’t without a handful of powerful techniques that can secure kills at relatively low percentages. Actually landing them…well, that’s another issue entirely.

As with the rest of the videos in this series, viewers can expect a heaping portion of text-based humor stamped on top of some often-hilarious Ness play. Back throws and precision shots with Ness’ PK Thunder attack abound, as well as plenty of uses of the bat to knock projectiles right back where they came from.

Be sure to check out the first match in its entirety, as it’s a testament to the importance of keeping your cool even when you’re down by nearly a full health bar. This is one of the many skills in all fighting games that can separate the decent players from the excellent players.
