In my last column I discussed the new patch coming to The Elder Scrolls Online and I called it epic, despite not actually having played it. Sadly, I just never had the time to jump into the PTS and give it a shot. Well, today is the day. I am finally able to sit down and dive deep into the new changes and find out if it really is epic or if wisely chosen words make everything sounds grander than they truly are.
Necropolis: Steam Launch is a Go!
Necropolis has hit the ground running thanks to today’s launch on Steam. Players can take on the “permadeath 3D Action Roguelike” four-player coop game for $29.99. While today’s launch is PC only, console versions are in the plan and will launch at a later date.
General: Dungeon Punks Set to Launch on Consoles on July 26th
Dungeon Punks is an arcade-style brawler with RPG elements and it’s ready to ‘hit’ the ground running on July 26th for both PlayStation 4 and XBox One. Shortly after the console release, Dungeon Punks will be available on Steam.
EverQuest II: Race to Trakanon Event Server Now Live
All Access members who love EverQuest II can now create a character on the Race to Trakanon event server. Players earn rewards during the limited time server based on achievements and that can then be claimed on another server once Trakanon closes.
Overwatch: Ana Revealed as a Support Sniper
Ana Amani, as had long been rumored, is the next hero coming to Overwatch. She was revealed in a video that shows off her Support Sniper abilities, including a wicked one that puts players to sleep. For those who remember, Ana Amani is the mother of currently existing hero, Pharah. Check out her introductory video below and let us know what you think!
General: Turn Based RPG Tahira to be Released on August 31st
Tahira: Echoes of the Astral Empire, a turn based RPG, is headed for release on August 31, 2016. Tahira will be available on Steam for PC, Mac and Linux.
Guild Wars 2: Living World Season 3 Coming July 26th
ArenaNet has revealed the first details about the Guild Wars 2 Living Season 3 update that is slated for release on July 26th. Players will be able to pick up the story from the point where Heart of Thorns ended. Players will need to own Heart of Thorns and have a level 80 character to complete it. Once HoT is finished, the new episodes are unlocked and become playable.
Trove: Headed to Consoles Later in 2016
Trion Worlds has announced that Trove will be heading to both PlayStation 4 and XBox One later in 2016. The announcement comes alongside the game’s first anniversary celebration that is packed with promotions, parties, activities and prizes.
Neverwinter: PlayStation 4 Head Start Begins
Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that the PlayStation 4 head start in Neverwinter has kicked off as of today. Players who purchase an Onyx Head Start pack for $20 can begin playing immediately and take advantage of several in game perks.
Dark Age of Camelot: New Abilities Previewed in Latest Video
The Dark Age of Camelot team has released a brand new video to spotlight some of the new abilities and changes coming with the v1.121 update. The number of changes is so large that the patch has been divided into four parts to fit them all in. Check out the video below to see what’s new!
