On release day, a pair of DLC will be made available for $0.99 each: a minipet and the Expurgator Set that grants a powerful wardrobe set. Stoic and Versus Evil have announced that a free content update called ‘Survival Mode’ has been released for Banner Saga 2. As the name implies, the new game feature allows players to assemble a team of heroes to take on enemies with a cost: Death of a hero in battle is permanent. Achieving certain levels of Victory, however, rewards Renown that can be used to unlock other heroes to replace those lost in battle.
