The final Guild Wars 2 expansion beta weekend event is now slated to begin on Thursday, October 2nd and will run through Sunday, October 4th. Players who have pre-purchased Heart of Thorns will have the ability to create up to four level 80 characters and will have access to all nine elite specializations. Players will also be able to take part in the Verdant Brink raid.
George Romero’s Aftermath, a survival horror MMO, has now entered its open beta phase of development. Players can check out the game on the official site or via Steam.
Shroud of the Avatar backers at "First Responder" and above are invited to attend the game’s latest build, Release 22. The event has already kicked off and is packed with all sorts of new things for players to experience and test.

Sundered Ground is the next EverQuest II expansion and will be released on November 3rd. Beginning today, EQII players can take part in a prelude event that will run until the expansion release in November. The event includes a special "currency" called Primordial Malice Baubles that can be used to buy special event items while it is live.
The Dying Light team has started a new contest to give players an opportunity to see their work included in the game. Players are being asked to write letters that will be placed in a new quest line taking place in an abandoned post office.
The Albion Online team has written to let us know that the game’s Private Islands feature is being upgraded according to feedback from the community. Not only will players be able to have an island getaway, but they will be able to customize it with houses, workshops, decorations and even have access to additional building and farming plots. A new resource collection, Laborers, will also be introduced that will ultimately lead to the Labor System.
