The Star Wars: The Old Republic team has put out a brief new video diary that takes on the subject of story and writing for the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion. From the first word about KotFE, Bioware has promised a return to story and from the sound of things, they will be delivering when the expansion is launched later this year.
After 15 years, Godager, the last Funcom founder standing, retired from the company and perhaps video games altogether. Currently, Godager works as a clinical psychologist, diagnosing and treating psychiatric illnesses at an inpatient clinic in Norway. Trove players have a lot to look forward to with today’s deployment of the Rise of the Shadow Tower update. Not to be outdone by EverQuest’s expansion announcement, the EverQuest II site has been updated with a new developer blog post about its twelfth expansion, with a special preview to be held on Thursday, October 1st.
EverQuest II’s Holly Longdale has posted a new producer’s letter to announce that the team has been working for the past year on a full-fledged expansion for the game. Longdale indicated that this expansion will bring content to high-level players along with new and updated 105 zones, two instanced raid zones, Plane of Fear and Plane of Hate, for players from 75-105 to experience together.
The WildStar site has been updated with a new deep dive article that lets players know that crafting will be meaningful, robust, and simplified when the game goes free to play later this month.
Destiny players have a lot to look forward to with today’s release of The Taken King expansion. The expansion will bring new challenges, weapons, enemies and adventures to players around the world. In addition, players can check out the King’s Fall raid when it goes live on Friday, September 18th at 10:00 am Pacific / 1:00 pm Eastern.
The latest Neverwinter update has now been deployed and players can take part in 20v20 PvP battles. These Stronghold Siege battles take place by combining two maps to double the scale and allows teams to destroy an enemy’s stronghold.
The Blade & Soul site has been updated with a terrific first-look at the way players will progress their characters via the skill tree. According to the introduction, skill progression allows players to define their own individual style.
