Blizzard developers are on hand on the final day of Gamescom to talk to the world about the World of Warcraft expansion, Legion. The presentation is to begin at the top of the hour and we’ll be live blogging the event, or you can watch for yourself in the embedded stream below.

I do love me some theorycrafting. I’m not necessarily the best player, but I love coming up with ways to build characters and then put them to the test in a game. So I’d say I’m looking forward to the elite specializations in Heart of Thorns as much as I am to the new zones and gameplay.
The latest Shroud of the Avatar newsletter was sent out, packed with a lot of new information on what the team has been up to this week. Among other things some new devs have been hired, NPC player name submissions and new information on the design of Desolate Hills as well as Architecture of the Obsidians.
Vostok Games has sent word that Survarium has been updated with a large new patch that includes a new PvP mode similar to Deathmatch, as well as "Knowledge of the Forest" which reduces damage from anomalies. In addition, new weapons and equipment have been added, in-game tutorial was overhauled and players will have 4 new faces to choose from on character creation.
Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment have announced a new hybrid subscription model called the VIP program. Those who wish to subscribe can do so for 30, 60 or 180 days and will accrue a number of in-game perks.
Chris Roberts and the Star Citizen team showed off a demo that builds on the Arena Commander module. To best explain it, a video was produced to show multi-crew ships that will house all of the pals of a player’s pilots. See what you think and leave us your comments.

4:33 Creative Lab has announced that it’s hack-and-slash PvP-centered RPG Blade: Redemption will be launched later this year for iOS and Android.
