Wargaming has announced that the global open beta for World of Warships is now underway. Over 400,000 players took part in the closed beta testing and now it’s time to unleash the game on even more captains. The OBT will feature ten new maps, four vessel classes and much more.
Bog Otter caught an interesting tidbit posted by Colin Johanson that may be a bit disappointing for Guild Wars 2 fans. According to the post, the popular Super Adventure Box events may not return. Of course, never say never, but, for now, it seems they are a thing of the past.

Otherland has been updated with a new feature especially for guilds. Clans will receive an instanced plot of land on which to build and to improve. Reaching a certain point will allow clans to attack one another on specially designated portions of clan property. Successfully beating another group will allow the victor to make improvements of its own holdings.
Gameforge and Robot Entertainment have sent word that tomorrow’s big update to Orcs Must Die Unchained closed beta client will contain a brand new PvE mode. In addition, PvP mechanics and core game features have been tuned to keep the franchise fresh and growing.
Last week, at E3, I had the opportunity to meet with Vladimir Piskunov, the CEO of Bitbox and see Life is Feudal, for the first time. My goal was to see just what features and systems were featured in this pure sandbox game. To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be something of an understatement. Vladimir is incredibly polite and passion for this project just exudes from him. He is also a realist and pretty insightful about games, sandbox games in particular.

Yes, the development studio behind TERA has a new game, and it’s an Action RPG with a persistent MMO world. For the sake of not having to say that over and over, we’ll just call it an Action MMORPG.
