Everyone has a fighting chance
During EA’s E3 2015 Press Conference scheduled for next week on June 15th, more information will be revealed to Star Wars: The Old Republic players and what they have to look forward to as the year progresses with the just announced Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
Fans of both the MMO and the television show, Defiance, will be happy to hear that Season 3 begins tonight at 9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific.
This week both Oculus and Turtle Beach have revealed new information about their products that will likely be revealed next week during E3 2015.
Jagex Game Studio has announced a debut competitive tournament for Old School RuneScape to take place 24th – 26th July. It will have three different game modes: King of the Hill, First to X kills, and Last Team Standing. Aside from the tournament, the game will also get two new slayer bosses and PvP mode: Deadman.
WEBZEN has announced a pair of summer events that are ready to kick off in MU Online. The first, Evomon Evolves, will run June 9th – June 23rd. The second, Castle Siege Event, will take place June 14th – June 21st.
Trion Worlds has announced that dragons will be arriving in Trove beginning next week. Players will receive a dragon hatchling that can be raised to a fire-breathing mount over time. The team has plans to release more information over the next week or so.
While the Das Tal KickStarter has wrapped up without reaching its funding goal, the team is not ready to give up just yet. Head of Communications David Wells has posted some post-KickStarter thoughts for fans of the game.
ESTsoft has announced that the official launch date for Cabal 2 is nearly here. Scheduled for July 2nd, open beta testers will be pleased to hear that there will be no character wipe and that all characters created during that time will be available on launch.
Polygon has a terrific article about a new Japanese-styled RPG that will be unveiled next week at E3 2015. Called Project Zodiac, the game is being developed by a French studio, Kobojo, which is not just incidentally populated by some of the genre’s top game makers including several key members of the Final Fantasy series and one Mario Rizzo who heads up the studio.
Double Fine Productions has changed their focus in recent years. After creating a couple of critically well regarded games which failed to sell well, Tim Schafer and his merry band of game developers began creating smaller games at a more rapid (and presumably less expensive to produce) pace. They have been experimenting with genre, game platform and financing method and producing some very interesting results.
