GoG has announced that its multi-game platform, Galaxy, has officially launched its first round of beta testing. Galaxy will allow players to purchase, play and update GoG titles from the convenience of a single platform and, as developers suggested, bring GoG into the modern games space.
The ArenaNet security team has a message for cheaters: DON’T. If it’s not enough for some, there is this that was recorded by Chris Cleary where a rather notorious cheater was stripped, thrown to the ground from a precipitous height, had characters deleted and the account banned.

The Elder Scrolls Online has been released for over a year now and I still think the game gets under-credited. Recently I’ve reduced the amount of time I’ve spent in Tamriel and ventured to other games to explore what is new. Sadly, nothing feels new, everything that’s out right now feels like the same old lollipop in just a slightly different flavor.
Issue 11 is ready to be unleashed on The Secret World later today (if not already) and is something that is going to be very special for players. This is the story finale of the Tokyo storyline and the first major story since launch. In fact, Lead Designer Romain Amiel and Tor Egil Andersen called it the end of "Season 1" of The Secret World, an incredibly long season that has lasted since launch in June of 2012.
Does anyone actually know how many MMOGs are out there now? I certainly don’t. Indeed, the category has grown so much that I can no longer even estimate the total number with any real confidence. Many are, of course, not very prominent. Others are a lot more visible and fare far better in terms of attracting and holding our attention. This is my completely personal, subjective ranking of the titles that have had the most interest value for me so far this year.

After the recent devastating earthquake in Nepal, CCP has announced a new Plex for Good campaign for EVE Online players that will directly impact relief efforts in the stricken nation. For each Plex donated by players, CCP will send $15 to the Icelandic Red Cross. The special donation event will last from today through May 15th.
