Perfect World International has expanded today with the launch of Eclipse. The expansion brings a unified starter zone, a new endgame dungeon, an overhauled skill training system, optimized dailies, and new ranked gear. In addition, every player logging in between now and January 17th will receive a free Illusionary Crystal that, on use, instantly boosts characters to level 95. Lastly, the Nightshade race enters the game with two distinct classes, the Stormbringer and the Duskblade.

Dragon Age: Inquisition: Inquisition HQ Released
Those participating in Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer will be happy to hear that the DAI HQ has been released. Players can use a web-based or mobile version of the DAI HQ to track their multiplayer characters including accumulated experience and equipment, which challenges have been completed and leaderboard information. The Dragon Age: Inquisition HQ is very similar to the one created several years ago for Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer component.
Lord of the Rings Online: Update 15.1 Brings Bug Fixes & Essence Changes
The Lord of the Rings Online forum has been updated with the latest update notes. Included among the general bug fixes and feature enhancements is the news that unique essences from Central Gondor will no longer be stackable. Players will only be able to equip one of each type. The team detailed how retroactive changes will be applied alongside the long list of other patch contents.
EVE Online: Why A Trailer Matters
The other night I was participating in an annual tradition by getting ready sit down to think about starting to consider a possible temporary return to EVE Online, a tradition in my house since I first started my account in July of 2004. EVE Online will either pull you in completely, tempt you once in a while, or turn you off immediately. I fall in the category of the occasional temptation. Now that the game says you can "train multiple characters at once", I was once again tempted.

Hail fellow Crusaders, and well-met. This week we are going to look at the recent reveals of the UI/HUD for Behaviour’s upcoming MMO-shooter, Eternal Crusade. Last week, on the Eternal Crusade Twitch show, Into the Warp, Nicolas Brunoni, the lead designer of the User Interface and Head Up Display, along with Peter Rockwell, who is the guy who takes Nicolas’ ideas and determines if they are feasible, and if not, determines how to make them work within the game engine.

Back in 2012 there was this little MMO darling that was loved by many, one that I personally wanted to try out but never got the chance to. That gem of a game was called Glitch. MMO bloggers that I follow spoke nothing but praise and the announcement of the shutdown hit fans hard. Thankfully, unlike many MMOs that shut down Tiny Speck was able to put the art and code from Glitch into the public domain.
Star Wars: The Old Republic: Shadow of Revan RIP #2 – New Planets
Introducing new environments to explore is a staple of MMORPG expansion packs, and Shadow of Revan does not disappoint. After the prologue missions, the new content kicks off on the relatively obscure planet of Rishi, home to some interesting looking bird folk and a whole lot of pirate business. Bioware reached way back and dipped into the classic trilogy for the second planet (or rather moon), Yavin 4, recognizable to fans as the home base to the Rebellion in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Ciri Confirmed as Second Playable Character
CD Projekt Red hinted last week that a second playable character would be included in the forthcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Today, the company announced that it will be Ciri, mentored by Geralt himself. Players will play as Ciri at critical junctures in the story, though she will not be able to be selected as the default player character.
Origins Of Malu: Origins is Back on Track
Last week we got the chance to sit down with Origins of Malu’s Michael Dunham to discuss the current state of development and some of the new changes coming to the game for 2015. The game is set for Steam early access coming up in the next few weeks and Mike’s team has been working hard to get everything ready to go. Mike explained a few of the exciting new goals coming up with early launch as well as some of the pitfalls the team faced when developing an independent MMO.
