Bioware has announced that Early Access for the latest Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion has officially kicked off. Subscribers will have a full week to enjoy Shadow of Revan before it opens to all players. The update also brings to bear the new Discipline system and many of the quality of life improvements Bioware has detailed in several developer blogs. All players will have access to this new content.
Ankama has released the latest update to the venerable DOFUS. Called "Legends of the Fall", the update includes a new quest series and a new dungeon to challenge even the most intrepid adventurers.

Ubisoft’s The Crew might be a good overall indication of what we can expect from MMOs in the next several years. How you look at that statement could be a good or a bad thing. I spent the better part of last night and this morning delving into the live service of Ivory Tower’s racing MMO. Though I don’t think we’ll need the usual 4-5 weeks to come to a conclusion about The Crew’s performance, because there are only so many different things you can do behind the confines of a car.
Webzen has announced the Age of Wulin expansion, Chapter 3: Wisdom is a Journey, has launched on its EU servers. The expansion brings new quests, adventures and locations to explore as well as character improvements such as a fourth Internal Skill and more. Players will also be able to challenge themselves with new, more difficult versions of some dungeons.
ArenaNet has announced that the next installment in the Living Story Season 2 for Guild Wars 2 will launch today. Seeds of Doubt keeps the story moving along as heroes chase down leads to find Caithe. The update features some new content in the Silverwastes during the journey.
The latest expansion pack for Star Wars: The Old Republic has arrived, and with it the game is graduating to version number 3.0. One of the banner features of the upgrade, although not specifically tied to the expansion pack, is the new method for dealing with skills: Disciplines.

In the ashes of City of Heroes the seeds of three spiritual successors were planted. The Phoenix Project now known as City of Titans, Heroes and Villains, and Valiance Online. Two years on and all three are barely little sprouts poking their heads out of the dirt, MMOs do take a long time to develop after all. The latest Secret World Producer’s Letter has been published. Of most notable interest is the announcement that Issue 10 – Nightmares in the Dream Palace is expected to go live in the first half of December. Nightmare will bring a new area to explore and will also feature some quality of life improvements. With Issue 10’s arrival, players will be able to customize the UI. New players will also see a new monster difficulty panel to assist in battle.
