Lornsword Winter Chronicle is an RTS/ARPG hybrid from Tower Five that has only recently launched into Steam early access. I had an opportunity to check out a bit of the game. What I found is a mixed bag of impressions of a game that tries quite hard to blend two genres together, though struggles to do so. That said, however, all is not lost. There is a seed of something special inside Lornsword that, with a bit of time and work during early access, can turn it into a unique entry into the games

This morning, we wrote about a now-former Blizzard developer who remarked that the game he had been working on for two years was canceled abruptly. This afternoon, Kotaku has obtained information from unnamed inside sources that the game was a Starcraft first-person shooter. The cancellation came as a shock to the devs working on it and happened in the past two weeks. Those who had been working on the Starcraft FPS are being moved to both the Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 teams.
The Bungie Destiny 2 stream is in full swing and it’s started with a bang. Luke Smith has categorically said that it is an action MMO and, despite dodging the “MMO term for years”, it is what it is. The commitment is to continue to improve RPG and social elements in the coming years.
