Reuters is reporting that Riot Games and Tencent Games are working cooperatively to develop a mobile version of League of Legends according to a trio of sources “with inside knowledge of the matter”. A few years ago, Riot rejected the idea of mobile LoL after which Tencent developed a clone called Honour of Kings that was released in China. It subsequently became “the world’s highest grossing multiplayer online battle arena game” in late 2015.
In Wizard101, there have been several storylines presented throughout the history of the game. We have the recent completion of Arc 3 with Old Cob and Grandmother Raven fighting and potentially altering the future of the Spiral. Finally, we can’t forget the side worlds of Grizzleheim, Wintertusk, and Wysteria, each adding their own unique storylines! With every passing arc, the stakes are higher and the villains are bigger than ever. Where do we go from here? I have some ideas!
Human Head Studios has announced that Rune II, an epic Viking action RPG, that has been in the works for several years will finally be released in summer 2019. Fans will be able to check out the game thanks to a special gameplay livestream taking place on May 24th. To celebrate the announcement of Rune II, devs have released a new video that “details Midgard’s brutal chaos, filled with a wide range of vicious beasts and monsters looming in the many ages of darkness”.
On June 5th, high-end Black Desert Online players will be able to take part in the Star’s End quest line that will yield the new legendary Blackstar weapon. Blackstar weapons are considered the “pinnacle of power” for players. The questline takes players to a new location called Star’s End where players work to gather materials needed to forge the weapon.
A Plague Tale: Innocence is an action-adventure title that launched last week for PC, PS4 & Xbox One and immediately won over fans and critics alike. The game features a heartwrenching journey of two young children in the world ripped apart by war and suffering from plague. Just before the release of the game we had an opportunity to interview Kevin Choteau, the Game Director on A Plague Tale: Innocence, and ask a couple of questions.
Webzen has announced that MU Origin 2, its upcoming mobile MMO, will be released in North America and Latin America on May 28th. The new game makes significant improvements over its predecessor including improved graphics and “amped up gameplay”. Players will find a fully-featured MMO with quests, dungeons, pets, and much more.
RuneScape players will have a chance to see dinosaurs live and in person when a new landmass surfaces in Gielinor in July. As players learn of Anachronia, they will travel to the Land Out of Time and “arrive on the dino-inhabited island to try and track the dragonkin as he continues working on his mysterious and nefarious plan”.
Just when you think you’ve seen the oddest crossovers ever, something comes along and surprises you again. This time, it’s the new Fortnite Creative crossover event featuring Michael Jordan. The new content was made by Creative artists NotNellaf and Tollmolia. Creative players will be able to take home a number of themed cosmetics for participating in the Downtown Drop LTM. These include the Clutch Outfit and the Grind Outfit.
Not long ago, Blade & Soul developers teased a new class coming to the Korean version of the game. Set to launch in June, nothing else has been said until the arrival of a new teaser image on the Korean site. The image shows off a pair of female archers, though devs provided no further details including whether or not there will be a male version. With the month of May waning and the imminent release nearing, it’s apparent that more info should be coming soon.
