Heavyweight contender Andrzej Wawrzyk, who was due to challenge WBC champion Deontay Wilder on February 25 at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, has failed a drug test.
Poland’s Wawrzyk tested positive for an anabolic steroid during random drug testing, which was carried out by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, as part of the WBC’s Clean Boxing Program.

Badou Jack has vacated his WBC super-middleweight title, four days after retaining the belt in a action-packed majority draw with IBF champion James DeGale.
The WBC announced on Wednesday that Jack is moving up in weight to light heavyweight and will vacate the 168-pound title.
“The WBC has received official notification from WBC super middleweight champion, Badou Jack, who has decided to move up in weight and compete in the light heavyweight division,” the WBC said in a statement….

IBF champion James DeGale (23-1-1, 14 KOs) and WBC titleholder Badou Jack (20-1-3, 12 KOs) fought to a majority draw on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
