Russian Black Desert Online Players Can Begin the Transfer to Pearl Abyss Servers

Now that the details have been straightened out between former Black Desert Online Russian publisher GameNet and Pearl Abyss regarding game data, it appears that players can now begin the transfer process. According to a post on the brand new Black Desert Online site, the new version will be live starting November 22nd. Up to that time, players can apply to have their characters transferred.

Latest Black Desert Online Ban Wave Removes 301 Accounts

The Black Desert Online site has been updated with the news that another 301 botters have been thrown out of the game. This time, 85 accounts were banned for speedhacks and 216 were banned for using fishbots. Banned accounts will not have a chance to appeal and the team has plans to perform smaller ban waves, though more frequently.

Pearl Abyss & GameNet Reach an Agreement Regarding Russian Black Desert Online Player Data

You may recall earlier this week we reported that the Russian version of Black Desert Online was in flux as publishing duties was changing from GameNet to Pearl Abyss after the game’s first three years of service. At the time, it appeared that player data would not make the transition from GameNet to Pearl Abyss with each side pointing fingers at the other. Now, however, that has changed and an agreement has been reached between the two.

Upcoming Archer Class to be Shown at TwitchCon 2018

During TwitchCon 2018 (October 26th – 28th), Kakao Games and Black Desert Online developers will be showing off the new male Archer class. In addition, fans will be able to try out the class and the new content coming with the Drieghan expansion that is set for launch on November 14th. Lastly, the Black Desert Online Guild 3v3 Tournament Final will be taking place with North American and European teams duking it out for a share of the $10,000 prize pool.

Pearl Abyss to Take Over Russian Version Publishing Duties

A brief Q&A has been posted on the forums of the Russian version of Black Desert Online that informs players that Pearl Abyss is taking over publication of the game in Russia starting in mid-October. Currently, the game is published by GameNet, but the contract between it and Pearl Abyss has been cancelled effective October 12th.

Future of the Russian Version of Black Desert Online Hangs in the Balance

The Russian version of Black Desert Online hangs in the balance. The official RU BDO forum has a new post from the team that informs players that the contract with Pearl Abyss ends on October 12th and that, while negotiations are still ongoing between GameNet and Pearl Abyss, servers may go offline on that date pending a restart “outside the platform”. At this time there is no word on how the discussions between the two companies is going.
