Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss have announced that a dedicated PvP server will be coming soon with new rules that “negate the karma loss players normally receive after killing another player”. The goal is to bring open-world PvP to the forefront on this server. Feedback was provided by the Russian community after a recent test period. The PvP server will be live once this week’s maintenance is complete.
Black Desert Online – Spanish Localization Underway
Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss are answering the pleas of Black Desert Online players in Spanish-speaking countries. The Kakao localization department is already working away and more help is being hired to speed up the process. In addition, Kakao promises that native-speaking GMs will be added to the staff list to better assist Spanish-speaking customers.
Black Desert Online – Co-Op Survival Challenge ‘Savage Rift’ Launching This Week
Players who love co-op group challenges will want to check out Black Desert Online after its next update to try out Savage Rift. It is a new defense mode with 8-10 players working to defend the Sealed Tower from increasingly large waves of enemies. Each rift features 25 waves that grow more challenging over time. Players will need to be level 56 in order to participate. The last wave is, of course, a field boss.

The Black Desert Online Reddit has recently been afire after Kakao Games “unbanned” a number of players back in May. According to several posters, one prominent YouTube streamer is thought to still be gaining resources and items through exploitation of game mechanics. We reached out to Kakao about the issue and to get their response to Reddit user’s allegations.
