Black Desert Online players will be able to start with the new Striker class beginning May 24th, the same day as the Steam version of the game launches. To celebrate the Striker’s entry into BDO, the team has published a brand new video that you can check out to see him in action.

With Black Desert Online preparing for a May 24th launch, a handy FAQ has been posted that answers some of the most common questions players have. The most notable question is whether or not “original” BDO accounts can be merged or imported into Steam. The answer is, sadly, no.

It’s been announced today via press release that Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss are bringing their hit MMORPG Black Desert Online to Steam on May 24th.

The Black Desert Online forum has a new post by Kakao Administrators that warns players that their account security “may have been compromised on a third party website”, though what website is unnamed. Any accounts that have been affected have had their passwords reset. The team is further advising those players to both change their account email and reset their passwords to avoid any security issues. Further, Kakao reminds players to reset similar passwords used on other sites.

Black Desert Online’s latest update is live and it brings with it the Dark Knight Awakening. To flesh out the lore behind the character and her Awakening, the site has a nice lore piece to accompany the big event.

Pearl Abyss has announced a ton of new content for Black Desert Online including a new class, a huge new monster, a cooperative horde mode, rebalancing siege warfare to allow for unguilded players, improvements to the UI and guild systems, Kamasylvia Part 2, a climbing system, transportation via airships and a new way to combine two pre-awakened skills to create something new.

Next week is shaping up to be a big one for Black Desert Online players and fans. The Dark Knight will get her Awakening next week and Pearl Abyss will be on hand on April 8th to announce new content for Black Desert Online!

Black Desert Online will be coming to Brazil in a fully localized Portuguese version via publisher Redfox. In an announcement yesterday, Redfox revealed that BDO will be buy-to-play. As part of the news, Redfox unveiled the official BR web site for BDO as well as informing fans that more about testing opportunities will be released next week.

The Black Desert Online Twitter has confirmed that a PlayStation 4 and XBox One version of the game is in production at Pearl Abyss. The post indicated that that was all the information that could be confirmed but we’ll keep you posted as the story develops.

After a long string of offenses against roleplaying community by a player named Kimochi, a Black Desert Online GM took matters into his own hands. GM Rothaaz contacted the player in question to discuss his behavior. Rather than outright ban him, the GM suggested a way “redeem” himself through a 501-word Roleplay essay focused on the story of Kimochi.
