Pearl Abyss and RedFox Games have inked a deal to being Black Desert Online to South American players. There is no word yet on when localized versions of BDO will arrive in South America but the company assures fans they will make the process as quick as possible.

After a brief tease a few weeks ago, the Korean Black Desert site has been updated with a special page dedicated to the Dark Elf / Dark Knight that will be heading into the game in the near futures. The team released a trailer and will be revealing more information on December 8th before the new playable class goes live in the Korean BDO version on December 15th.

Kakao Games has published a new FAQ on the Black Desert Online site that gives players a handy guide to “New World”, the next major update coming on Wednesday, November 30th. New World is BDO’s version of regional mega servers. The move is being made to better facilitate Siege Wars and to revitalize the in-game economy.

The latest Black Desert Online update has been deployed that sees both the Musa and Maehwa Awakening and with an impressive 50% discount on all game packages on Black Friday starting at just $4.99 and with other items up to 80% off on a rotating basis.

Japanese site Game Watch has published a preview of the Black Desert Online Dark Elf race as well as a look at the Kamisilvia zone. Dark Elves use a wicked looking 2-handed sword (and apparently high heels…) and utilizes magic from range but can cause physical damage if the gap is closed.

The latest Black Desert update has been deployed that brings a “feast” of new content into the game in the form of the Abundant Harvest Event. From today through November 30th, players can take part in several new daily quests that can see players earning Big Black Feathers, Sour Cranberry Juice, Hearty Grilled Turkey or Sweet Pumpkin Pie. Feathers can be traded for a Golden Sunset Bundle that can contain a whole lot of nifty stuff including boost effects, damage reduction effects & more.

Pearl Abyss has signed a “MOU”, or memo of understanding, with Silicon Studio to bring a new level of fidelity to the graphics and visuals in Black Desert Online. Silicon Studio has been working in the digital entertainment field since 1999 and has created several middle-ware packages including YEBIS that is used in both Bloodborne and Dark Souls III.

The Black Desert Online site has been updated with the news that regional mega servers will be coming beginning November 30th. Called the New World update, the plan is to provide players with fiercer PvP siege battles and a more robust and broad economy. Players will note changes coming beginning November 26th when Siege Battles will stop with full transition to the mega server being completed by November 30th.

The latest update has been applied to Black Desert Online. This week’s patch brings the awakened Valkyrie into the game along with her new one-handed lance weapon that can be swapped out with her normal sword.
