Kakao Games is encouraging players to get those Black Desert Online alts out of mothballs and into the game with the introduction of the House Fame system in today’s update. With House Fame, “the more characters you grow and develop, the more benefits you may receive”.

The Black Desert Online team has announced that the Margoria content expansion is coming to the game on January 25th. Players will find an entirely new territory and treasure-filled oceans, underwater combat, ship construction, over a hundred new quests and naval GvG battles to dominate the ocean’s trade routes.

The latest Black Desert Online update has been deployed and it’s a whopper, weighing in at nearly three gigs of space but containing the preloaded Margoria content in addition to a new event and awakened bosses.

The fearsome Nouver has taken to the field in Black Desert Online as 2016 comes to a close. Nouver is a powerful dragon field that lives in the midst of the desert and who pelts players with fire and air. Defeat of Nouver can see players loot powerful sub-weapons.

Steparu is reporting that the Korean version of Black Desert Online will be updated later today with the Kamasilvia Region that is quite a distance from the main continent. According to reports, the journey can take upwards of an hour without a fast ship. Kamasilvia sports new creatures, NPCs, quests and mini-bosses. Check out the trailer for a bird’s eye view!

When today’s maintenance is complete in a few hours, Black Desert Online will have completed all of the class Awakenings with the final addition of the Witch and Wizard. To celebrate the fully Awakened classes, a special event will be held in game.

From today through January 4th, folks can try out Black Desert Online for free for an entire week. There are no restrictions and all game passes are 50% off so once the week’s play is concluded, players can pick up right where they left off.

Black Desert Online players will want to check out today’s arrival of winter and the events surrounding the holidays. Snow is falling and new nighttime auras are out and players will find new Christmas-themed outfits, furniture and decorations as well.
